I was somewhat overwhelmed by what I saw from this division, especially the "on the court" progression from many I knew about; however, 10 players found ways to stand out each time I caught them. Here's the first 5.

Perkins caught my attention at the Neville Jones Invitational last season, see evaluation here; to say she's a legitimate D1 prospect would be an understatement. Her college-ready frame, her"hands and footwork" to score, she even gave me the drop step, yet with her power in the paint, she was virtually unstoppable. She rebounded on both ends, played solid defense, and blocked shots

Baker is a "long and athletic" guard, which is also the base, yet her timing, playing the passing lane, and dropping the fadeaway grabbed my attention immediately. She added the FLOATA, plus her quick hands picked some pockets. As I continued to watch over the weekend, her mid to long-range game was equally impressive

Jackson doesn't have any notes by her name because what she did is embedded in my petabyte of memory, so her "stop and pop" jumper was clicking as well as her finishing strongly off the dribble, yet she played the passing lane as well as applying "on the ball" pressure. She hit the boards and saw the floor as she will be "movin on up" aka JEFFERSONIZED

Lang name popped up from another evaluator a couple of seasons ago, see evaluation here so I'm glad she's on a team that understands the importance of being where I am, since I don't copy others. She went AFTA everything off the rim, finished strongly in the paint after contact, and also scored off the dribble. She's "long and athletic" and defended both in and outside the paint, plus she stands at "the magic number."

Burnham showed she could BURN THEM NETS. She's on a team with several long-ball shooters, yet her proficiency to start dropping it in game 1 told me what I was looking at. She creates her shot under pressure to drop it, she also showed the catch and shoot from deep, yet her body control, coupled with acrobatic finishes, had me smiling
