Team NorCal AAU - Class of 2027 / 2028 Prospects

As the days continue to fly by in April, the AAU season begins to pick up and really get going. There's a number of AAU teams all throughout California filled to the brim with high level, recruitable talent. One club I'll be catching this summer is Team Norcal (Adidas). Team Norcal traditionally features some of the high level prospects from the northern and central valley of California. Get ahead and in the know about the next up players coming out of northern cali. These 5 freshman/sophomore prospects are coming off a great high school season, and in a great position to showcase their talent this Spring/Summer with Team Norcal. Read more below to find out what you can expect from these next up prospects.    Saniah put Northern California on notice this season and is one of the more exciting PG's in the class of 2028! Super shifty lefty guard who can score early, often, and in a number of ways. Has the ability to get by defenders with ease, and the vision to see + make high level passes. Pass first guard that can also light it up on the scoreboard. Pushes with pace and purpose in transition. Look for her to thrive and show out in the more open and fast pace AAU environment this spring/summer.     Grace is one of the more exciting wing prospects in the class of 2027 coming out of Northern California. Big guard that can score at all 3 levels. Can knockdown open 3's + comfortable ripping and taking short/mid range jumper. Very on balance jumper with a high release; has ability to get contested shots off. Attacks the basket with purpose + has shown a developing floater. Her size coupled with ability to score in a variety of different ways makes her a 2027 prospect I would keep an eye on!     Gia is coming off a 1st Team All League sophomore season and poised for a big time Spring/Summer. Averaging 10pts, 7 Rebs, 1Blk this season, Gia showed she can impact the game at every level. Runs the floor, has good hands and nice touch around the basket. Hard worker on the glass; eats up every defensive rebound + creates extra chances on offensive end with O rebounds and tipouts. She will show an expanding offensive game and the ability to score the basketball; but look out for her effort and rebounding to set her apart this AAU season.     Shifty guard alert!! Jenelle plays with a ton of swagger and clearly works on her handle often. Super efficient in transition; operates at a high level attacking off a hesi or hip drop cross to score or create. Cold lefty guard with the ability to get busy behind the arc + is comfortable attacking and pulling up for short jumpers. The space and freedom of AAU basketball creates a really fun opportunity for her to showcase her creativity and skill, especially in transition. Super high ceiling prospect to keep an eye on as her efficiency scoring off the bounce and experience continues to grow.     Brooklin is a super quick guard that is hard to keep in front. Showed all high school season she is always on go and looking to get to the rim. Utilizes short pull up jumpers and floaters to find ways to get her shot off in traffic. Very efficient scorer as a cutter; runs proper lanes in transition + finishes well on the move and through contact. High ceiling prospect.
