2026's on the rise | Prep Girls Hoops

The AAU season has been great so far with a lot of competitive games all across the country and players have been stepping up and showcased their skills in a variety of ways. Here are some players who are excelling. Taylee is a high energy guard who thrives on both ends of the court. She provides a spark on the defensive side of the ball, being able to defend at an elite level and stay in front of opposing players. Coaches like to say defense leads to offense and for Taylee, she excels in that aspect on the court. Phelps shoots the ball well from deep too, all while being able to attack the bucket and get deep in the paint. Here is another defensive minded guard in the 2026 class. Jacox has fantastic agility, being able to move laterally quickly to stay in front of the opposing player. She passes the ball well, finding her open teammates and always making the extra pass to her open teammate. She gets to the free throw line smoothly too and is able to knock them down. Clara is a solid post player who does the little things really well. She boxes out well, reads the ball off the rim nicely, which leads to many rebounds. Gibbons uses her size and strength in the paint to her advantage, being able to score through traffic when defenders collapse in the paint to double team her. Brooke is a player who gives 110% every single possession on both ends. She takes pride in doing the little things on the court and always sprinting the floor, you can tell by how she plays on the court. She can attack from the wing efficiently and also stay down-low in the paint by being aggressive and finishing around the rim at a high level.
