I spent the last week reviewing hours of film from the Atlantic City to check out some players I missed in person. I made it my mission to get eyes on as many hoopers as possible for the May live period because the Convention Center was surely bursting with talent that deserves recognition. Let's get into some of my thoughts and observations:

[player_tooltip player_id='962705' first='Jordan' last='Arnold'] | [program_tooltip program_id='714654' first='NJ' last='Shoreshots']

It's really starting to come together for Jordan from 18 feet+. She made tremendous strides in Atlantic City showing off efficiency and nailing some really deep two's off the catch. Her willingness to let it fly without intimidation from the defense is paying off for her and her teammates. As her shot continues to fall, look for increased production from 3-point land. She isn't scared to shoot it, which is a great foundation to build on.

[player_tooltip player_id='913936' first='Rian' last='Dwyer'] | NJ Rise

She had it all clicking! Tireless rim-running and high volume scoring were on full display. She's no stranger to the hoop and harm, doing a great job driving directly into the body of the defender and initiating that contact for and-1 opportunities. If there's anyone I want at the charity stripe, it's Rian! Ice-cold free throw shooter! She continues to show improvements shooting the 3 ball and really expanding her multi-level scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id='1109441' first='Audrey' last='Heerema'] | United NJ

Audrey did a great job playing the role of both a scorer and facilitator. Precision passes into the post saw a lot of buckets drop while Audrey racked up the assists. Undeniable hustle to move without the ball and find her spots for 3 balls off the catch. She gave glimpses of dangerous shooting from deep and really forced the defense to tighten up on her. She is certainly one to keep a close eye on as she continues to develop her game, especially offensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='1048705' first='Hannah' last='O'Neal'] | [program_tooltip program_id='714654' first='NJ' last='Shoreshots']

Hannah was exactly what the Shoreshots needed at this event. Someone headstrong getting to the basket, totally unafraid to take bumps along the way. She sacrifices her body for the betterment of the team and it's paid off in a major way! As good as she is carving paths to the rim, it's her 3-point shooting that was deflating for the opponent. She boasts a quick release and ZERO hesitation in that shot. Strong spot shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='635514' first='Imani' last='Mullings'] | [program_tooltip program_id='714664' first='Team' last='Sharp']

Imani loves to compete! It's the first thing that jumped out at me on film, with integrity on both sides of the ball. Defensively, she understood the assignment every single time. That scrappy style of defense converted lots of turnovers to quick-hitting buckets the other way. And when the points weren't coming from transition, they were being delivered off the bounce as she split defenders and carved paths inside. Tenacious two-way guard!

[player_tooltip player_id='601339' first='Natalie' last='Sroka'] | United NJ

Her efforts on both ends did not go unnoticed! She did a great job standing her ground and using her length at 5'10" to deflect and reject in the paint. She was the beneficiary of some nice dimes which she converted mostly on layups and short jumpers. When she gets in the zone, she turns into a slashing guard who wills herself to the bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1252978' first='Katie' last='Lane'] | United NJ

Katie cleaned up misses and got ahead on the break to tally points for her team. She was especially aggressive against a scrappy SLAAM team from PA. 5'10" and a versatile scorer, she dropped in buckets from all spots, including some pretty rainbow 3's. Her length played a big role in both getting shots up over smaller defenders and anchoring down inside to reject shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='601333' first='Megan' last='Logan'] | [program_tooltip program_id='774068' first='NJ' last='Panthers']

Megan tallied points in a number of ways: baseline drives, floaters down the middle, 3-point daggers and pull-up middys. The sign of a confident shooter is one who, while in transition, pulls up instead of driving inside. Sometimes this confidence can get a player benched if they fail to deliver. However, this certainly isn't the case for Megan! She plays to her strengths and is quite fundamentally sound.
