There is plenty of youth talent around the state with potential. Every year, players get into high school who will help their high school and club programs compete at a high level. I'll highlight a few kids who could help their teams win games.

The Oshkosh West guard/wing is part of the next era of Wildcats basketball. Stauffacher is an athletic kid who can make plays on both ends of the floor and attack defenses on multiple levels. The Oshkosh native has a handle and jumper, which help her stand out on the grassroots level. However, her athleticism and how she uses that on the defensive end will determine how her career at West will play out. West has been a program built on defense, and Stauffacher should fit into their identity well.

Emma Traustch

The Stoughton guard played next to one of the top players in the Badger-Small last season but will need to play a more prominent role in her sophomore season. Traustch had a solid season and helped the Vikings earn a Regional Title this past season when I don't think many people would've expected that playing against a few talented groups in their region. Traustch was a solid rotational kid in that group and played massive minutes throughout the season. That staff trusted her with the ball in her hands as a young player, and Traustch rewarded their trust on numerous occasions.

The Appleton East guard could earn a prominent role with the Patriots next season and help them compete. Last season's team, even though it got to a state tournament, was far from smooth. The ups and downs were evident with how some of their kids played, but they made it work. However, with someone like Feller next season, things could look more stable. Feller isn't a kid who'll rock the boat for some of their best returners, and she's a solid ball mover. She may not be the flashiest name in the conference who becomes a rotational player next season, but she may be just what the Patriots need in their backcourt.

We got a sneak peek of what life for Hortonville could look like after the graduation of one of the most talented kids in program history. It didn't look great, but they figured things out to close out the season. Biese wasn't a part of the group that ended the season at the varsity level. However, she'll likely be a kid who finds her way onto the varsity roster next season. She's a lengthy wing with some ability off the dribble and has some physical tools that could help the Polar Bears next season.
