The PGH Michigan State tournament, held at the MSA Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids, was packed with talent from across the region, but it was the fresh faces that made some of the loudest statements. New to the Prep Girls Hoops spotlight, these athletes wasted no time proving they belong, showing off their skills, toughness, and high basketball IQ on a big stage. Whether it was making clutch plays, locking down on defense, or stepping into leadership roles, these rising prospects showed they're more than ready for the spotlight. For all of these players, this is their first feature on PGH, and they're already making waves. Here are some of the new names that turned heads all day long.

Kathleen, a standout point guard for MBA, made a strong first impression at the PGH Michigan State Tournament. She played with confidence and control, handling pressure with ease and creating scoring opportunities for her teammates. Her ability to attack the lane, draw defenders, and deliver accurate kick-outs kept the offense flowing. Kathleen also knocked down multiple shots from beyond the arc and even came up with an impressive block, showcasing her all-around game and fearless approach.

Tatum, a guard for [program_tooltip program_id='1250561' first='Legacy' last=''], had a strong showing on Saturday at the PGH Michigan State Tournament. She played with relentless energy, constantly active on defense with quick hands that led to several steals. Offensively, she knocked down multiple shots from deep and fearlessly attacked the basket, absorbing contact and earning frequent trips to the free throw line. Her effort and impact were felt on both ends of the floor all game long.

Kendal, playing up for [program_tooltip program_id='715424' first='The' last='Naturals'] 17U, impressed on Saturday at the PGH Michigan State Tournament with her poise and leadership at the point. She brought intensity on the defensive end, applying tight on-ball pressure and anticipating passes to create turnovers. Offensively, she showed great feel for the game—navigating screens effectively to find lanes to the rim, where she dropped in a smooth floater. Her vision and decision-making kept her team in rhythm throughout the day.

Datiyawna, a guard for the [program_tooltip program_id='923703' first='Michigan' last='Knights'], delivered a strong outing on Saturday at the PGH Michigan State Tournament. She was disruptive on defense, constantly creating tie-ups and swiping steals with her active hands. After grabbing boards on the defensive end, she wasted no time pushing the tempo in transition. Offensively, she showed a nice scoring touch, hitting a smooth pull-up jumper, a floater in traffic, and finishing a tough and-1 to cap off an impressive performance.
