We've highlighted a few breakout candidates in the past few days. Today, I'd like to discuss some under-the-radar players whom I haven't written about before. Most of these kids don't play AAU over the summer or play at a large school, but let's talk about some new players you may not have known.

[player_tooltip player_id='1242892' first='Emma' last='Sampson']

The Fall River wing is a solid athlete who excels on both ends of the floor. Sampson has the size and length to defend multiple positions on the defensive end and has the speed to beat her initial defender off the dribble. Her athleticism can help programs at small schools in the region, and she's a kid who could slip through the cracks and be a steal for a program with the impact she could have in spurts early.

Taylor Hager

The Cadott guard is an offensive threat who can hurt teams by scoring at the rim or beyond the three-point line. Hager is also a solid initiator who can get her team's offense rolling and can pass well in her team's half-court offense. She isn't the most physically imposing guard in the state, but she is comfortable playing under pressure and taking care of the ball when teams pressure her in a full-court or half-court setting. Hager is another kid who could play at a small school in the region.

Brooklyn Talmage

The Boyceville guard is a player who's impacted games on both ends of the floor in her first year at the high school level. Talmage is a solid spot-shooter who can hurt defenses when they help off her to defend around the basket. Over time, she should continue to improve as a perimeter shooter and floor spacer. Talmage is also an intelligent defender who can make plays on the ball on the defensive end of the floor and generate live-ball turnovers to help her team earn some layups in transition.

Kaelyn Comero

The Cochrane-Fountain City wing is a solid defender who can move her feet on the perimeter to defend guards and wings and use length to defend around the basket. Comero is also an excellent perimeter shooter who can space the floor and knock down shots whenever she has any airspace to get her shot off. Comero is a confident shooter with a high release. Few people can contest her shot, and she can knock down shots in bunches from behind the three-point line.
