The 16U field may have only included five teams, but a small field does not translate to a shortage in tough competition. Without further ado, here are our selections for the 16U First Team.

Opponents find it difficult to cope when Ella is on the court. The Now Elite organization had a successful weekend at Columbus State as it took home 15U and 16U championship trophies. Copeland's play was a massive reason for its 16U success. The ability to make 3-point shots is one element of Copeland's game. She also has no problems attacking the basket and does not give up on a play. With only five teams in the 16U field, all 16U games were pool play. Among the big games for the guard out of 5A Russellville was a 22-point performance – including four 3-pointers in an emphatic victory on Sunday over [program_tooltip program_id='1219908' first='Britt' last='Basketball Academy'] 16U.

Speaking of impressive performances that occurred in that win over [program_tooltip program_id='1219908' first='Britt' last='Basketball Academy'] 16U, Holley made her presence known on Sunday morning. Now Elite 16U departed from Columbus State University with a 4-0 record in large part because of the 27 points she scored in that contest. It was more than what [program_tooltip program_id='1219908' first='Britt' last='Basketball Academy'] tallied as a team – 20. In addition, Holley steered mostly clear of the referee's whistle as she was only called for one personal foul in that contest. When she particularly gets going from behind the 3-point line, she is especially difficult to keep in check. Transition play and a mid-range jumper are other attributes to the Hewitt-Trussville standout's game.

If a hooper has “Kyrie” in their name, one better have a game that reminds onlookers of the NBA star veteran. Tolbert does – and then some. With Tolbert's playmaking abilities, OMG Academy 16U had a successful 3-1 Triumph Region Finals weekend. Tolbert's solid weekend included standout games against [program_tooltip program_id='1219908' first='Britt' last='Basketball Academy'] 16U and Net Rippers 16U. Between Tolbert's ability to attack the rim and connect on her 3-point tries, an opposing team could put their best defender on her and she still will get bucket after bucket after bucket. Add in how she can come away with steals and one can see why is top-20 ranked in Prep Girls Hoops' Alabama 2027 rankings.

Loukides is a multi-sport athlete who also competes in track and field events alongside her basketball achievements. Because of the efforts of this 2027 stock riser from 7A Fairhope, OMG Academy 16U finished Triumph Region Finals weekend at 3-1. Loukides gives opposing teams nightmares on both offense and defense. She knows how to read a defensive play and react to force a turnover of an opposing team. Loukides stands at 5-foot-11 and can give a team minutes as either a four or a five. Along with converting on high-percentage shots near the rim, Loukides will also improve a team's offensive output with a mid-range jumper.

Net Rippers' 16U's resident paint patroller battled her way to a pair of victories this past weekend at Columbus State University. Giving that interior element to her team's efforts included an eight-point performance in a 48-34 Net Rippers 16U victory over SC Eagles UA Rise 16U. Not only did she display how effective she can be as an interior scorer but she also had no issues drawing contact to place her at the free throw line. Verdell's team encountered a trouble spot when matched up against a tough OMG Academy 16U team on Triumph Region Finals Sunday but she was one of the team's bright spots in that get-together.
