This past weekend, I had the chance to watch Blueprint Basketball take down the MTE Ducks Jade in a 61-53 win to claim the Division 1 Gold championship at ZG Girls Nationals. It was a fun game with a lot of standouts on both sides. Here are a few Blueprint players who made a real impact in their championship run.

[player_tooltip player_id='584222' first='Zoey' last='McNabb'] showed why she's a guard to watch in the 2026 class. In the championship game, she was an offensive weapon—getting into the paint, drawing contact, and finishing around defenders with strong footwork. She handles pressure well, has a strong handle, and makes the right reads as a passer. What stood out most was her willingness to rebound at her position —she holds her position, and secures the ball with two hands. High IQ guard who brings poise and balance to the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='594763' first='Marlie' last='Bushey'], the MVP, was a force for the team. At 5'10”, she brings ideal size for a shooting guard and plays with an edge. What makes her special is her versatility—she can rebound and push in transition (make the long outlet pass or push the ball up the court herself), hit the outside shot, or post defenders. In the halfcourt, she uses ball fakes from the perimeter to get into the paint to finish or kick out to shooters. This February, she reached the 1,000-point milestone for Milton High School—another testament to her consistency and impact on the game.

Ashton Sterns played her role well in the title game. She spaces the floor, moves without the ball, and knocked down threes for her team. She has a smooth release and isn't afraid to shoot with confidence. Her ability to stay ready and take advantage of defensive lapses made her a key contributor in the flow of the offense.

Nylah Mitchell plays with presence. She uses her strength to get into the paint, finish through traffic, and bring defensive energy. She is a disruptor on defense, who is able to guard multiple positions, get deflections, steals, rebounds to help set the tone for her team. She also has the handle and vision to push the pace. Her size, strength, and motor give her an edge on both ends of the floor.

Addie Nelson is another asset for Blueprint. She attacks off the dribble with purpose, using footwork, and strength to get downhill. She's aggressive at drawing contact, which puts pressure on the defense and can result to trips to the line. When the paint collapses, she's is able to show off her strong passing and decision-making skills to find open teammates.
