During our three day stay in Louisville at the Run 4 Roses Classic, one of the teams that we took a liking to was the [program_tooltip program_id='713416' first='Missouri' last='Select'] 17U squad out of the SWMO area.

The Selection is a unique team in that employs a five guard look with players ranging from 5'2 to 5'10. All of them can handle the ball, pass and shoot the ball. They also play with great chemistry is the ball moves and the players will pass up the good shot for a great shot.

During the weekend, [program_tooltip program_id='713416' first='Missouri' last='Select'] won the Silver championship in the Jade Division. Here is a look at their top five players that play so well together. One key player who was not there was 5'8 guard [player_tooltip player_id='734905' first='Rebecca' last='Kepes'] of three time Class 3 state champion Fair Grove, who is excellent.

[player_tooltip player_id='433312' first='Awbree' last='Berning']: A 5'10 2026 guard from Republic who can excel anywhere on the court with her height and versatility. As the tallest starter, she gets matched up with an opposing big, which she can drive around. She is an excellent passer. She hit a cutting teammate with a 40 foot bounce pass in transition. She also hits that slingshot jumper from 3-point range. She also defends well with her athleticism and length.

[player_tooltip player_id='848994' first='Millison' last='Sapp']: A 5'6 point guard from Ash Grove who has been a fixture since her freshman year. That's when I first saw her at the Walnut Grove Tournament, and I was impressed. She has a lot of swag in her game as she can score at all three levels while being able to get her own shot with her creative handles. Her step back :-pointer is butter. She also puts in work on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='849019' first='Lily' last='Carr']: A 5'6 point guard from Spokane who is an excellent two-way player. She is a very talented bucket getter and playmaker, but I was also impressed with her defensive tenacity. She is a ball hawk who puts on good on ball pressure. She also has an uncanny to block shots for a smaller guard. On offense, she can create her own shot off the dribble and she can work off screens. She will also go into the low post to find a bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id='937735' first='Zoe' last='Scharnhorst']: A 5'6 2026 point guard from West Plains who is solid in all facets of the game. She handles the ball well, but she also keeps it moving so the offense keeps flowing. She can knock down open 3-pointers. She also has good instincts on the defensive end. She plays the passing lanes well to get steals and transition layups.

Hadley McNatt: A 5'2 2026 guard from Willard who is the smallest of the group but she is tough and she has a lot of speed. She plays well off the ball to get to the open spots to hit 3-pointers off the catch. She can really fill it up from downtown. She stays alert on defense and does a good job rotating into the right position
