With events scattered around the country in places like Kentucky, Ohio, Las Vegas and right here in New Jersey, there was no shortage of Jersey talent for college coaches to scout! With countless hours of film at my disposal, I was able to keep tabs on several recruits, with the following six putting together standout performances:

[player_tooltip player_id='559037' first='Taylor' last='Sofilkanich'] | Jersey Gemz

You want to talk DOMINANT? The future Blue Devil went off for 31 points and 10 rebounds against one of the best EYBL teams in CyFair with Duke's staff in attendance. She posted 31 points in three games combined in the days leading up to Sunday's outburst. Efficiency was the name of her game, going 8-14 from the field and 15-16 from the line. She has looked tremendous since coming back from injury which sidelined her in May, with fluid mobility and impressive post moves. Two aspects of her game that looked very solid were weakside rebounding and defensive anchoring inside and out.

[player_tooltip player_id='972291' first='Angelyn' last='Almonte'] | Exodus NYC

She's different, plain and simple! Angelyn got BUSY in Vegas against some of the hottest teams on the Nike circuit; All Iowa Attack, Cal Storm and Why Not Premier. Shifty handles broke down opponents at the perimeter and allowed her the freedom to penetrate for buckets at the rim. Her slice-and-dice game continues to elevate and make difficult baskets look easy and smooth. With coaches from Indiana, Kentucky and Fairfield looking on, she danced and dazzled with the ball in her hands, creating and executing. She sank the 3 ball in clutch moments and kept a sense of calm under pressure from the defense. Anytime she touched the ball, the defense swarmed, and she evaded.

[player_tooltip player_id='1109441' first='Audrey' last='Heerema'] | [program_tooltip program_id='714666' first='United' last='New Jersey']

Audrey turned up the heat at Jersey Shore Live and had her perimeter game clicking from all angles! Whether it was 3-ball daggers or deep 2's, she really made her shots count when she got strong looks at the basket. She kept focus under pressure from scrappy teams such as the [program_tooltip program_id='987734' first='NJ' last='Demons'] and Comets GUAA, not allowing the opponent to speed her up way out of her comfort zone or get her out of sorts. She displayed some solid ball-handling and dished out assists around the perimeter and pushing the ball ahead in transition. I also noticed an improved drive-and-kick game which paid dividends for her team.

[player_tooltip player_id='871420' first='Abby' last='Grove'] | [program_tooltip program_id='774068' first='NJ' last='Panthers']

Abby went down to Roses and was a thorn in so many opponents' sides! First and foremost, the intensity she played with was instantly noticeable and really set the tone for her strong play the rest of the way. Her awareness and anticipation on defense were both stellar, as she was able to sneak behind for steals, anchor the interior for blocks and crash the glass for rebounds, even when undersized. Impressive versatility on offense saw her score it at all three levels consistently, with her bread and butter being that 10-12 foot jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='972035' first='Isla' last='Fry'] | Jersey Gemz

Isla commanded both sides of the ball at EYBL Session 3, especially against the always-feisty Fairfax Stars. The 6'0" Wing was everywhere wreaking havoc, banging in triples and flipping up put-backs on offense and imposing her will on defense, intercepting passes and sending back shots around the rim. She played with controlled aggression, able to make an impact on both sides of the ball assertively without racking up unnecessary fouls. Two areas of her game that stood out to me the most were mobility and sharp cuts through traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='871281' first='Catie' last='Klemm'] | [program_tooltip program_id='774068' first='NJ' last='Panthers']

Catie put together a weekend of fantastic basketball down in the Ville. Undeniable hustle and integrity helped her lead the Panthers to dominant wins over PINK ELITE, SLAM Black and Team Lynwood in an ultra-competitive Aqua Group. Her offense came equipped with inside-out scoring, including slashing drives to the basket and quick-trigger corner 3's. It wasn't all about scoring, however. She moved the ball supremely well and made sure her teammates got touches and got in on the action; team-first mentality. Defensively, she was rock solid, with steady ball pressure and quick recovery help-defense. Her willingness to crash the glass and be fearless against taller players was highly commendable.
