<p>Standout forward [player_tooltip player_id='351820' first='Moriyah' last='Douglass'] of John Burroughs has given a commitment to Texas Tech. The 6'4" rising senior made her announcement on her social media accounts on Thursday afternoon.</p>

<p>Douglass is currently No. 5 in the Prep Girls Hoops Missouri Class of 2026 rankings. She has received scholarship offers from more than two dozen Division I collegiate programs. She chose Texas Tech over schools such as Gonzaga, Marquette, Missouri, Arkansas, Houston, Boston College and several others.</p>

<p>Douglass was a Class 6 All-State selection as a junior after averaging 18 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks a game. As a sophomore in 2024, she helped the Bombers to the Class 5 state championship as she averaging nearly 10 points and five rebounds a game.</p>

<p>Douglass comes from a talented basketball family in the St. Louis area. Her grandfather is Monroe Douglass, who is a former star player and Hall of Famer at Saint Louis University. Her father, Monroe Douglass Jr., was a former standout player at Chaminade College Prep.</p>
