New Blue Chips: 2028 Rankings V.2

The 2028 rankings have been released, and along with that, come surprises and new additions looking to cement their place at the top of New York's 2028 rankings. This class ranks pretty high in terms of talent, skill, potential, and progression. These prospects just finished up their freshman year and are looking to take on bigger roles for their teams in the future. Let's dive right in.      Doherty is skilled and plays with a high level of motor control. She has range beyond the arc and good mechanics that will continue to improve with more reps. Want to see her improve her ability to create her shot, but she is a willing and skilled passer. Sees the lanes and understands where everyone needs to be on the floor. Creates a lot of turnovers on the perimeter into easy buckets on the break. Her dribble penetration combined with her finishing ability around the basket.     Zachery plays with a high motor and makes a big impact on the defensive end with her perimeter defense. Has fluid shot mechanics and range on her perimeter shots. Can get to the basket and is shifty enough with her handles to make it look easy. Zachery is a pass-first guard who has the passing and vision to be an efficient floor general. She's not afraid to clean up on the glass and push the pace.     Craig is a high-motor pass guard. Craig loves to pressure on defense and try to create turnovers to convert for easy baskets. Craig knows where to be on the court and has the handle to get anywhere on the court. She has good vision and is not turnover-prone. Craig is shitfy enough to get to the basket with enough touch to convert. Good rebounder on the glass and not afraid to be physical.     White has been playing on the Varsity Basketball team for Canton since she was a 7th grader. White is an inside-outside threat that can beat off the perimeter or in the paint. Strong rebounder and passer who makes good outlet passes on the break. Also loves to push the pace and find space to get open looks. When she does, she's extremely accurate with her range and mechanics. White is a versatile defender who can play multiple positions. Plays with toughness and grit.     Gerstrung is a shifty guard who has pure shooting mechanics and can sling it from the perimeter. She loves to come off screens in catch-and-shoot situations. She's shifty and agile with a good handle and touch to finish in the paint. Plays good perimeter defense and cleans up on the glass. Loves to play fast and find space in open court.
