Talented Lefties at the Run 4 Roses

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the talented left-handed players who caught our attention at the first session of the Run 4 Roses in Louisville, KY.     <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/04/IMG_1742.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-893600" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='894062' first='Taylor' last='McCarty'] (Phee Elite 16U/Bradley): A 5'10" 2027 forward from Fort Zumwalt South who is an excellent player from the high post. She can wheel and deal of the drive, pass it to the open cutters and stick the 15-foot jumper. She continued to expand her game from the low post to the perimeter. She handles the ball well in the open court and she has been knocking down more 3-pointers this summer.     ******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2025/07/IMG_4361.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1273891" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='458975' first='Londyn' last='Parker'] ([program_tooltip program_id='712484' first='Della' last='Lamb'] 17U): A 5'9" 2026 point guard who is one of the best in the state at her position. She has strength and physicality to go along with a high basketball IQ. She is a very unselfish player as she looks to spread the ball around to her teammates. She's very tough on the downhill drive, where she finishes on runners and floaters. She can also set the tone defensively with her on-ball pressure. She is a tough cover because she compliments her perimeter shooting with her ability to drive it. When she gets the ball in her dominant left hand, it's hard to keep her from getting to the basket. She is an excellent shot blocker who uses her length and timing to get swats without committing the foul. She is also very mobile with how she's able to run the court. Her offensive game continues to emerge as she is a reliable scoring threat in the low post. She is just coming back after missing the past two months with an injury to her left hand. She didn't miss a beat as she played with her usual dynamic energy. She's constantly attacking the rim and she also displayed an improved stroke from 3-point range. She has the ball handling skills to drive around taller defenders when she's matched up with them. She can also shoot it from 3-point range and pass it with her playmaking ability.     ********   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2025/07/IMG_4101.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1273896" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='849004' first='Jayce' last='Green'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713121' first='Lady' last='Brad Beal Elite'] 16U): A 5'10" 2027 point forward from University City who excels in the ball handling and facilitating role. She plays the game under control and at her own pace. She's very effective when she gets downhill on the drive. She is also a selective shooter from the perimeter, but she hits the 3-pointer pretty well.   *******     [player_tooltip player_id='1274254' first='Brigit' last='Mahoney'] (MO Phenom STL 17U/Moe: A 5'8" 2026 guard who has a nice shooting stroke from 3-point range. She made multiple triples in all of her games during the event. She also has the ability to score tough buckets around the basket off the drive. She can create contact with defenders and score off the backboard with a soft touch. She helped her team to the championship game of the Platinum Division.
