Players have barely had a minute to unpack from the extended road trip that July’s live period has now become and we’re already looking ahead to the 2026 AAU season. Like it or not – our feelings are mixed – tryout season is upon us. While the top returners have spots secured for next season, and recruiting of other elite talent by top clubs is ongoing, the majority of players will grind it out through the tryout process.

We’ve done our best to compile the details on club tryouts that have been posted online but there will be more information in the days to come as plans are finalized. Over the next month or so we’ll update this free primer as changes warrant. A few items of note:

  • Tryouts are listed by graduation year wherever possible. For example, incoming 9th graders this fall are 2029s, 8th graders are 2030s and so on.
  • Clubs are listed in alphabetical order.
  • We provide basic information on dates, times and locations. Refer to the club’s website for more details on how to register, required fees, and so on.
  • Note to AAU clubs: If your organization is not included here, or your information needs updating, please email gmachoops@gmail.com and we will make the updates as soon as possible.
