Once Monday arrives, I will highlight the best AAU performers from Wisconsin-based programs this past summer. However, before then, I'd like to highlight a few players who could surprise people in this high school season and discuss some players who could excel this winter who are somewhat under the radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='667016' first='Kamryn' last='Lecce']

Lecce has an opportunity in her senior season to be the focal point of everything at St. Joseph Catholic Academy. Lecce will be the sole creator with the ball in her hands, and handle being the No. 1 name on opposing scouting reports. It may not be the smoothest with the talent around her, but she could impress people if she manages to keep the Lancers competitive in the conference. She's a name to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1231611' first='Taylor' last='Walter']

The Wilmot forward is a name I came across for the first time at the end of June and heading into July. Walter is 6'2 or 6'3 and has a skillset that could help her succeed at the next level. There are plenty of aspects of her game that she can work on to continue to develop her game at the next level, and a lack of guard play could hurt her at Wilmot next season, but that could lead to her slipping through some cracks, and someone could land a gem with her.

[player_tooltip player_id='509704' first='Kate' last='Janssen']

Menomonee Falls had a senior class graduate who had plenty of talent in their ranks. Janssen is a player who has been a spot shooter and perimeter defender. However, in her senior season, she will have an opportunity to make plays with the ball in her hands and display a side of her game that she hasn't shown in her first three seasons at Menomonee Falls. Players like her, who have been in one role for as long as she has, are ones I'm eager to see now that they should be focal points for their team and leader on and off the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1224589' first='Ellie' last='Strong']

The SPASH guard is playing alongside the best guard in the state and can play off her to be the best version of herself. Strong will have matchups that she'll be able to take advantage of with the ball in her hands, and with how the ball moves for the Panthers when they're at their best, Strong will have plenty of open looks from the perimeter. She isn't a marquee name on her high school team, but she has a significant role to play for SPASH this season.
