Nike Nationals took place in Chicago at McCormick Place recently, and I was in the building from Friday to Monday. This is one of the biggest and best events of the summer and a nice way to end the travel ball season. Here are some Southeast hoopers that caught my attention in the Windy City:

Ella [player_tooltip player_id='1242017' first='Davis' last=''] was balling out in Chicago as a really versatile player in the 2028 class. She has a good frame, nice length, and played very physical. Her ball handling, tough finishes, and deflections on the defensive end made her one of the most well-rounded and polished guards I saw from her class.

Parklyn was one of the hardest working players on the court at all times. She crashed the boards on both ends and secured quite a few offensive rebounds in a tough matchup. Offensively, PJ knocked down a baseline floater and showed a nasty hesitation move then blew right by her defender for a bucket.

Lea'nah has a great frame and nice size in the 2028 class. She uses her body and strength to create space as a physical, versatile player with tremendous upside. Her shot is very nice as she can hit the deep ball or knock down the pull up jumper as well.

Coco did a great job of facilitating and creating in Chicago. She can really get downhill and score at the rim, or at least penetrate and collapse the defense then find her teammate for the score. Rudolph can also knock down the 3 ball with time and space.

Chabria was making some big time and winning plays at Nike Nationals. She has a high motor and plays hard on defense which led to some timely steals. Her ability to get to the rim and finish strong was clutch for her team in a tight game.
