New Additions of Guards and Wings in the 2027 Rankings

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri released its newly updated Class of 2027 rankings this week. Here is a look at a group of guards and wings who are new additions to the updated 2027 rankings.     [player_tooltip player_id='889434' first='HayLeigh' last='Burres'] (Stockton): A 5'7" point guard from the SWMO area who is a skilled playmaker who can score from all three levels. She sees the court well to drop dimes from anywhere on the court. She operates in the pick-and-roll well. She plays well at her own pace and you cannot speed her up. She can play through contact well on the drive and she can shoot it from 3-point range. She played for the [program_tooltip program_id='712692' first='Missouri' last='Flight'] 16U squad during the summer.     DeMajai Wallace (Raytown South): A 5'6" point guard who is a hidden gem in the Kansas City area. She has good speed and quickness and she can create her own offense with her handles. She also rebounds the ball very well for a guard her size. As a sophomore, she averaged 13.5 points, five rebounds and nearly three steals a game. She was an All-Conference and All-District selection as a sophomore.     [player_tooltip player_id='876227' first='Kate' last='Jenkerson'] (Farmington): A 5'6" point guard who earned All-MAAA and All-District honors after helping the Knights to a Class 4 district championship. She took over the point guard duties as a sophomore last year and excelled. She is a solid playmaker who can really shoot it from distance. She came up big in the district championship victory over xx when she knocked down five 3-pointers.     [player_tooltip player_id='1308673' first='Elliott' last='Utterback'] (Van Far, pictured): A 5'6" combo guard who has the ability to score in a variety of ways. She is very aggressive on the drive and she's always probing the defense for open lanes to attack. She also has a nice stop and pop game from the mid-range along with the ability to hit 3-pointers. She averaged 17 points a game as a sophomore last season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1308661' first='Emeri' last='Perkins'] (Steelville): A talented young guard who helped lead the Cardinals to a district championship and a berth in the Class 3 state quarterfinals. She is a versatile offensive threat who can shoot the 3-pointer and attack off the dribble. She scored 20 points in a victory over KIPP in the sectional playoffs. She played with one of the Phee Elite 16U teams during the summer grassroots season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1309431' first='Saylor' last='Johnson'] (Reed Spring): A talented guard in the SWMO area who excels on the basketball court and on the golf course. She is a good athlete who attacks the basket well and can operate well with two feet in the lane. She has a nice float game and she can also knock down open 3-pointers. She led her team to a berth in the district championship game last season. She played up a year at 17U with [program_tooltip program_id='716233' first='Standout' last='Prep'] during the summer.   [player_tooltip player_id='1309440' first='Maylee' last='Merrill'] (West County): A 5'5" point guard who has good quickness and who plays with a lot of pace. She uses her speed to beat defenders on her dribble penetration, where she can either score or drop the ball off to an open teammate. She can also hit the open shot from 3-point range. She also uses her speed and quick hands to excel on the defensive end.     [player_tooltip player_id='1309450' first='Lexi' last='Andrews'] (Archie): A talented small school guard who is a capable scorer from a variety of spots on the floor. She is a capable shooter from 3-point range and she moves well without the ball. She can also keep defenders off balance with some shifty moves off the dribble.
