Rockets Fall League Class of 2029 Guards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of Class of 2030 guards and wings who caught our eye during our visit to the St. Louis [program_tooltip program_id='716189' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714505' first='[program_tooltip program_id='712899' first='[program_tooltip program_id='712786' first='Rockets' last='']' last='']' last='']' last=''] Fall League at Principia.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1279155' first='Addison' last='Odom'] (Whitfield): A talented point guard who is one of the best in the Class of 2029. She is physically strong and plays with a high basketball IQ. She gets into the lane well and she can get a bucket from all three levels. I was also impressed with how she took on the challenge of guarding one of the state's best young offensive players in [player_tooltip player_id='1039529' first='Jamiah' last='Herring-Green'] of Hazelwood West. That was a good matchup to watch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kristina Magraf (Whitfield): A talented 5'5" combo guard who can play the point of off the ball with equal effectiveness. She was hitting catch and shoot 3-pointers with a quick release on her shot. She's always moving without the ball to get to the open spots. She also drives it well and can score at a variety of angles in the lane.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1279125' first='Rylii' last='Franklin'] (Whitfield): A very nice young combo guard who has good athleticism and the length to excel at both ends of the court. She has a quick first step to get to the basket and she also makes use of a nice shot fake. She also hit an open 3-pointer from the corner as well as a runner along the baseline.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Finley Staats (Cor Jesu): A 5'8 guard who was making things happen with her athleticism and high energy. She was really moving her feet on defense and providing some good on-ball pressure. She also scored some impressive drives where she was seeking contact and finishing well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ava Kapsak (Cor Jesu): A very solid combo guard who has good fundamentals and instincts. She made a couple of nice plays where she darted the passing lanes for steals and transition layups. She also made a couple of open 3-pointers.
