<p>After leading her team on a 23-game winning streak to end the season, which included a 3rd Union County championship in 4 years and a 2nd Group 1 championship in 3 years, [player_tooltip player_id='601332' first='Annie' last='Conover'] will be back to lead New Providence to defend their titles in the 2025-26 season. Last season the Scranton commit had 10 double doubles and led her team in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals while finishing 2nd in 3-pointers and 3rd in blocks. She had 10 games of 20+ points and 1 of 30+ points in her junior year and finished the season with over 1,100 career points. She scored more points in her junior year than her freshman and sophomore years combined. She will go over 500 career rebounds, 300 assists and 200 steals in her senior season in hopes of hoisting another trophy. With the loss of 2nd team All-Group 1 Brenna Slattery to graduation, Annie may shoulder even more off the load as a senior. </p>

<p>After two years at Roselle Catholic, [player_tooltip player_id='559077' first='Sidney' last='Smith'] transferred to Roselle Park and was a one woman wrecking crew for her new squad leading them to a 16-6 season. She made 63% of her teams 3-pointers connecting on 74 long balls and scored 57% of her teams points finishing with 729 on the season. She led all of NJ in PPG with 33.2 and was 6th in NJ in 3-pointers per game with 3.4. The Elon commit also led her team in assists and steals while finishing 3rd in rebounding. She had 3 double doubles and 20+ points in all 22 games she played last season including 16 games of 30+ and 5 games with 40 or more highlighted by a season high 48 in a 61-35 win over Whippany Park a game where she nailed 8 3-pointers. With 5+spg per game she also creates havoc or opposing PGs. Sidney can eclipse 2,000 career points in her senior year and will go over 200 career 3-pointers, 200 assists and 300 steals. With 4 of their top 6 scorers returning and Sidney at the helm, Roselle Park will look for even better results this season. </p>

<p>Glen Ridge won their 1st North Section 2 Group 1 sectional championship in school history last season behind a 1st year coach and a veteran team. They wound up falling to New Providence in the Group 1 state championship game in a 6 point defeat. The coach is gone and 3 of their top 5 scorers are gone including 1st team All-Group 1 MIT freshman and 1,200 point scorer Riley O'Sullivan, but they return 3 of their top 6 scorers including Rochester commit senior [player_tooltip player_id='601520' first='Allison' last='Snyder']. Allison regularly checked a lot of boxes in the stat sheet finishing the year leading the team in blocks, 2nd in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals and 3rd in 3-point shooting. She will be asked to step into a more prominent role along with junior [player_tooltip player_id='835255' first='Caitlin' last='Hood'] and senior Franklin & Marshall commit [player_tooltip player_id='601519' first='Annabel' last='Koss-DeFrank']. She finished in the top 10 in NJ in blocked shots in her junior year. Allison enters her senior year looking to achieve 600 rebounds, 300 assists, 400 blocks and 200 steals. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='601329' first='Briana' last='Holt'] - University</strong></h2>

<p>After winning 5 of the last 6 Group 1 Championships, University fell short to Glen Ridge in the sectional final last year in a 16-11 season. After losing 4 of their top 7 scorers from last year's team including 2nd team All-Group 1 player Paradise Fisher, [player_tooltip player_id='601329' first='Briana' last='Holt'] will be asked to take on a more prominent role in her senior season. As a junior she was 1st on the team in rebounding and 2nd in scoring and blocks. At 6'3" with athleticism, she is a threat on the block and in transition and finishes through contact with both hands inside. She had 10 double doubles last season including 2 games with 20+ points and 20+ rebounds in the same game. In her senior season she should go over 1,000 career points and 600 career rebounds. </p>

<p>Thrive Charter finished the year 18-6 falling short in the Central Group 1 sectional championship to eventual Group 1 State Champion New Providence. 4 of last year's top 6 scorers return as Thrive Charter looks to take away the sectional crown from New Providence. The leader or this returning group will be senior [player_tooltip player_id='559081' first='Olivia' last='Moore']. Olivia led Thrive Charter in scoring and assists last season, was 2nd in steals and 3rd in 3-pointers. She scored in double figures in 12 games, had double figures in assists 5 times and recorded 5 double doubles. She will team with senior [player_tooltip player_id='600911' first='SondJane' last='Daudin'], junior [player_tooltip player_id='789187' first='Heziah' last='Kinston'], and junior [player_tooltip player_id='1157942' first='Adris' last='Oppong-KyeKyeku'] to form the nucleus of Thrive Charter's success this season. </p>
