Deeper Dive: Class 1A Region 7 Player Evaluations

Her playmaking and rebounding ability as just a sophomore are extra impressive, considering that she was able to get this level of production in just her sophomore season. This will be a tough season to top. This includes a game against Gleason High School, where she made five three-pointers. Out of these five makes two of her shots came from well behind the line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> Vernon, at the shooting guard position, is also a great rebounder. She showed in her season opener of the 2025-2026 season that she can still move up those ranks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fisher is coming off an impressive junior season, and she is continuing down that track this year. In her team's first game of the year, against Clarksburg High School, she displayed her scoring ability. She was hitting threes, exploding past defenders to the basket, and knocking down free throws as well in the contest. In the game, she had 29 points and also showed off other skills in the game. At the guard position, she showed off her rebounding ability as well in the contest. She had a total of 12 on the night.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rounding off her impressive night, she showed that as good as she is on offense, she can lock in on defense. In the year she averaged 11.5 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and was also a menace on the defensive side of things, averaging 2.3 SPG. In the year, she had multiple games with two or more steals or blocks. This was shown in a game against Gibson County and Gleason High School.
