If they begin the season as anticipated, these five ballers could see a rise into the Top 100 of their respective class rankings [2026-2028]. Let's dive in to explore what makes them stand out and what they need to do in order to boost their stock this winter for the mid-season rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1202451' first='Jasiyaa' last='Byron'] | Elizabeth | Class of 2028

Jasiyaa made a major impact for the Lady Minuteman as a freshman dominating the glass. She was no stranger to double-doubles, pulling down big time rebounds and chipping in lots of putbacks. I caught a little bit of her game with [program_tooltip program_id='714664' first='Team' last='Sharp'] in Atlantic City this year and she certainly made her presence felt inside. The 5'11" power forward does a great job backing down and overpowering opponents with sheer strength. If she can consistently notch double-figure scoring numbers and do so against the best teams on Elizabeth's schedule, January's update could see a tremendous boost.

[player_tooltip player_id='789172' first='Yazaniah' last='Shumate'] | Gloucester Catholic | Class of 2027

After sitting out last season with an ACL injury, Yaz is ready for a breakout season with the Lady Rams. The 5'7" combo guard heads into Year 3 with great expectations, looking to play quality minutes for a team coming off a run to the Non-Public B state final. Her quickness and athleticism will be put to the test this season as Gloucester Catholic is known for their very difficult non-conference schedule. If she can prove herself against the best opponents and be a reliable force (whether starting or off the bench), she'll surely ascend more than a few spots.

[player_tooltip player_id='831948' first='Cali' last='Brown'] | St. Rose | Class of 2027

Cali scored a lot of points in a short time at Jackson Memorial. Now with the Purple Roses of St. Rose for her junior year, she'll likely be a starter and expected to contribute significantly to the scoring, with the departure of Cassidy Kruesi (graduation) and [player_tooltip player_id='559070' first='Jada' last='Lynch'] (Westtown). Cali is no stranger to the grueling Shore Conference, but she'll likely face much tougher non-conf opponents this time around. She has to be locked in and execute at the PG role, ready to switch from pass-first to a scoring mentality, if the gameplan calls for it. If her production is similar to [or greater than] that at her former school, she's likely to climb several spots in our mid-season update.

[player_tooltip player_id='964995' first='Gianna' last='Mattia'] | Franklin | Class of 2026

Gi's poise under pressure has always stood out to me, whether on the AAU circuit with the Panthers or with Franklin in the winter. She can both score and facilitate reliably and gives a full-out effort every single time on defense. Franklin usually plays an incredibly difficult schedule and this season will likely be more of the same. Now a senior, Gianna will look to up the ante and increase her production across the board. If she can look the part on a team stacked with elite talent, the number next to her name will undoubtedly rise.

[player_tooltip player_id='669307' first='Giada' last='Celetti'] | Saddle River Day | Class of 2026

With every passing season, Giada gets stronger and more productive. Her numbers continue to improve across the board and her effort is undeniable. The 6'0" forward has played against some serious competition over the years at SRD and looks to give it her best shot now in Year 4. She's one of the most coachable players I've come across in recent years. She takes direction well, is an excellent listener and does a great job executing out of timeouts. If she can hold down the fort in the front court for the Colonial Rebels, she'll boost her stock and her ranking right along with it.
