Emily Thames (Capital City): A 6'0" 2026 forward who had a big game in Cap City's victory over St. James. I was very impressed with her fundamentals in the low post. She had great seals and she possessed quick moves in the post to get buckets. She had a nice turnaround jumper in the lane and a strong drop step along the baseline. She rebounded the ball well and she also scored on a couple transition layups off of her rim runs.

K'lea Basnett (Russellville): A 5'8" 2026 guard who was one of the more impressive players that of the new ones that I got to see. She scored around 30 points as she was getting buckets at all three levels. On her first touch of the game, she gave a nice shot fake and scored on a tough drive in the lane. She is strong and she keeps defenders on her hip on the drive. She hit multiple 3-pointers and scored in transition. I was also impressed with her passing ability. She threw some nice passes over the top of the defense with a deft touch to a waiting teammate. She was very unselfish.
