December Tip Off: Presason(ish) Top 10 teams

While there have been early showcase games, small town battles, and more. December 2nd is the official tip off of basketball in Oklahoma. Let's celebrate that with a preseason(ish) of the top 10 teams regardless of class.     10. Dale 2A (3-0) The Lady Pirates are flying to start the year with three blowout victories. Latta is next up, next week they host a quality field at the Boomarang Classic.   9. Washington 3A (0-0) The defending 3A champions will tip off their season tonight with a good test against Riverside Indian School. Their schedule heats up quickly next week, with a trip to the Boomarang Classic in Dale. Last year, Washington took down tourney hosts Dale to win the event.   8. Douglass 4A (2-1) After a heartbreaking loss to open their season, Douglass rebounded with a pair of wins over Texas programs at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest. The Trojettes are road warriors this month, with games out of state at prestigious national events.   7. Choctaw 6A (1-1) The Lady Yellowjackets already have one of the signature moments of the season with a dramatic come from behind win against a very talented Douglass team. They slipped up the next day against talented prep school program GRIND Prep. Tonight, their balanced squad will start district play by hosting Edmond Memorial.   6. Newcastle 5A (1-0) The expectations are high for a Lady Racers filled with future D1 players. They handled business against Santa Fe South and will play Duncan tonight. Their December 9th match up at Del City is a circle the calendar game, as it will set the tone for Class 5A District 1.   5. Muskogee 6A (1-0) The Holmes sisters looked the part in Muskogee season opening win at the Pride of the East Side Showcase. Their district slate starts with hosting Jenks. Then they get a big out of district clash on Saturday, with GRIND Prep.   4. Union 6A (0-0) - One of the top defensive teams in the state, the Lady Redhawks are filled with "in your face" defensive guards and have the athletic sophomore Davis twins to anchor their front court. First up is a district clash out west in Enid. Their month of December is filled with travel and marque games. With trips to Arkansas and Florida and closing it out at the Tournament of Champions at the BOK Center.   3. Bixby 6A (0-0) - The Lady Spartans' season tips off on Thursday as they host the Bixby Invitational. They'll play three games in three days with a potential title game against Lincoln Christian School. Sapulpa, Choctaw, Piedmont and Arkansas Northside also help make up the difficult field. Expect hot shooting from deep to carry Bixby this weekend and beyond.   2. Lincoln Christian School 4A (0-0) - The defending Class 4A champions have one of the best one two punches in the state and looked ready to go during November scrimmages. Their season also tips on Thursday in Bixby. An expected win would set up a great quality semifinal game against the winner of two 6A programs, Choctaw and Sapulpa.   1. Putnam City North 6A (2-0) - The Lady Panthers did a Texas two step with their outstanding backcourt and depth hitting on all cylinders at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest. They have upcoming district clashes with Edmond Santa Fe, Stillwater and Broken Arrow. Then they hit the road to close out December, with the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas and the Dallas Holiday Invitational.
