These are athletes who are already carving out varsity minutes and making an impact, along with others whose opportunities are still on the horizon. Her handle is advanced for a freshman, allowing her to control pace and create advantages, while her length presents matchup problems on both ends of the floor. She gets downhill with confidence, often overpowering smaller defenders, and is comfortable attacking either direction. She's currently leading the JV squad for a talented Maple Mountain program, but her improvement and growing basketball IQ have already made a notable impact. She plays with confidence, understands spacing, and continues to expand her impact both offensively and defensively. She's quick, plays with a natural grit you can't teach, and isn't intimidated by size mismatches. McKinley is willing to take on bigger, taller players defensively and consistently disrupt passing lanes. She closes space quickly, forces turnovers, creates chaos in passing lanes, and elevates teammates through her effort and awareness.
