More Players Who’ve Caught My Attention

New teams and players have emerged, elevating their games and exceeding expectations. Denzien is a player who plays well in offenses that move the ball and create open looks for everyone. I thought she did an excellent job in the Pirates' win against Notre Dame, even though she may not have had 20 points in Green Bay. Her ability to move the ball and make quick decisions allows her to be a productive member of an offense and be a fulcrum of a team that wants to move the ball around quickly.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Marciella Rivera</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Pius guard has always been a do-it-all player who competes on both ends of the floor, and she has had a solid start to the 25-26 season. Rivera is a solid ball handler who can attack off the dribble and has shown improvement as a shooter in her time with the Lady Popes. She has been an integral part of Pius' early-season success. They're underdogs again in their sectional and conference, and Rivera has a way of helping her team win on the margins, which will help when the postseason comes around.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Miley Brotzel</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Amery guard has been an intriguing guard this season. She has been an impressive part of the Amery team, who has surprised me in the early portion of the season. Brotzel is an athletic player who has shown some burst with the ball in her hands and pushed the ball up the floor with a purpose. She is a player who has caught my attention, and coaches at the next level will have some interest in her over the next 12 months. Miley Brotzel is a name to know in the 2027 class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='889178' first='Tia' last='Anderson']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After [player_tooltip player_id='842265' first='Emerson' last='Drobac'] didn't come out for her senior season at Deerfield, [player_tooltip player_id='889178' first='Tia' last='Anderson'] inherited more responsibility than she probably expected for the 2025-26 season and did well in her role. She hasn't forced anything with the ball in her hands. I thought she did an excellent job against a talented Laconia backcourt and got her teammates involved in their offense. She is a player who could play a crucial role for a Deerfield team that could take home a gold ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
