I was planning on hitting a few games before tonight, but I'll only have one game to head out to in Madison. In the meantime, we'll look at some players who have had excellent starts to their seasons and deserve some recognition heading into the holiday break. That said, let's look at some players who have impressed in the first month of the high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='751245' first='Avery' last='Glenz']

The Eleva-Strum guard has been among the elite individual talents in small-school basketball around the state. Glenz has the tools to make plays for herself and others with the ball in her hands, which allows her to generate open looks on most trips down the floor. The Cardinals junior is a player who has the physicality to play multiple roles, rebound the ball, and play through contact. There won't be many programs at the small-school level with the ability to slow her down offensively.

Bridgette Mohns

The Cameron guard/wing is a talented athlete who can make plays in transition and use her speed to get to the basket. Mohns has also knocked down shots from the perimeter against zone defenses, forcing coaches to reconsider playing a zone when they play against Mohns' Comets group. She has the physical tools to make plays on both ends of the court and has done an excellent job with increased responsibility in her junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1114682' first='Cameron' last='Boelte']

The Kewaskum guard is a talented perimeter shooter who can space the floor well beyond the three-point line and knock down multiple shots each game. Boelte is also a physical guard who can use her physicality to make plays around the basket. She has a strong lower half, which she can use with her back to the basket and utilize her footwork to score around her defender. I also love her willingness to dig in and rebound when she has the opportunity to crash the boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1241669' first='Aggie' last='Schmidt']

Schmidt is another Cameron guard who has played a prominent role for the Comets in the first month of the 2025-26 season. Schmidt is a talented athlete who uses her speed to make plays off the dribble or by running in transition. She is also a hard-nosed player who can make extra-effort plays by never giving up on the ball and finding ways to generate extra possessions for her team. Schmidt is a 2029 graduate with plenty of room to grow, and she has the physical tools that will help her excel while she continues to find her footing at the high school level.
