<p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri had a chance to watch the championship and third-place games from the Mound City Tournament. It was a good chance to watch some very talented players from the Northwest part of the state. Mid-Buchanan defeated Rock Port in the championship game while host Mound City defeated Bishop LeBlond for third place. Here is a look at some of the top guards who caught our attention while watching the Mound City Tournament.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1203955' first='Myia' last='Dillman'] (Mid-Buchanan): A 5'5" 2027 point guard who is quick and plays with very good pace. She is very good at slicing into the lane where she gets low on the dribble. She is constantly probing and when she sees an opening, she goes on the attack. She also has a nice pull up jumper. She also sets the table with her ball handling and passing.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='899088' first='Audrie' last='Meyerkorth'] (Rock Port): A 5'9" 2028 guard who is one of the top young players in the NWMO area. She showed her three-level scoring ability, which included multiple 3-pointers from well beyond the line. She hit one at the end of the first quarter that was behind the volleyball line. She also creates well off the dribble to get to the middle area or all the way to the rim. She looks upcourt to make the quick pass to help her team get the advantage whenever possible. She already has an offer from Northwest Missouri.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1117288' first='Maggie' last='Osburn'] (Mound City): The 5'9" 2027 guard showed why she is one of the top offensive players in the NWMO area in leading MC to the third-place game victory. She is a three-level bucket who also uses her height to go into the post and score with good moves and footwork. She also has a nice turnaround in the paint. Her shooting range is deep and she can also create off the dribble and break down defenders.</p>

<p>Lindy Eaton (Mid Buchanan): A 2026 guard who was a big sparkplug in the championship game with her instant offense. She came out of the gate in the second half with a pair of 3-pointers on consecutive possessions. The southpaw guard also had a nice rip-through move that led to a pull up jumper when defenders came out to contest her 3-pointer.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1235012' first='Ella' last='Meyerkorth'] (Rock Port): A 5'8" 2026 guard who has quick first step, which she used to score on a couple of nice baseline drives. She was slicing into the lane where she could also draw contact and get herself to the free throw line. She also hit an open 3-pointer from the corner. She was also a very good cutter with her off the ball movement.</p>

<p>Payton Farr (Mound City): A 2028 guard who was impressive on the defensive end. She was moving her feet well while applying on-ball pressure and she also darted into the passing lanes to get steals. She was also getting steals by digging into the low post to get a strip-steal. She also has some nice moves off the dribble. She had one drive where she scored on a nice short jumper off the glass while on the move.</p>

<p>Avani Kendroza (Mid Buchanan): A 5'7" 2026 guard was really impressive with her cutting and off-ball movement. She was reading defenses well. When her defender turned her back to watch the ball, she was cutting to the basket to get a layup. She is an unselfish player who passes well and keeps the ball moving and the offense flowing.</p>
