JV Squad Worth Watching - Future Sentinels

We caught a JV matchup ahead of Tuesday night's main event and came away impressed. The energy, pace, and competitiveness made it a fun game to watch, and several players stood out with the way they moved the ball, competed on defense, and played within the flow. Here's who caught our attention and what we liked about their games. Claire has some of the quickest hands you'll see on the floor. No matter how well a ball-handler protects it in transition or on the drive, she finds a way to get in, disrupt the dribble, and force turnovers. Paired with her end-to-end speed, she becomes a constant pressure point, often forcing teams to adjust by screening her off or changing their primary ball-handler altogether. Maci caught us off guard with how physical and confident her game is. She doesn't play to her size at all—she attacks bigger defenders without hesitation and embraces contact. Her ability to sell the pass on the drive creates separation and opens clean scoring windows at the rim. She plays with poise, keeps the ball on a string, and consistently creates quality opportunities for teammates around her. Tialani continues to build confidence, and she has the potential to become a key piece for Mountain Ridge. She has a subtle feel for the game, consistently putting herself in the right spots for a pass, a rebound, or a timely shot. Her impact isn't loud, but it's meaningful—she contributes within the flow of the offense and defense in a way that quietly elevates the team dynamic. Mikaela was a joy to watch and quickly put herself on our radar. Her rebounding instincts are already advanced, and she adds a unique touch around the rim with an underhand put-back that's both effective and creative. She plays with physicality, isn't afraid to body up inside, and consistently takes care of business in the paint. Ramona is the ultimate glue player, able to slide into any role on the floor and fill whatever gap the moment calls for. Her court vision stands out, and she has a strong feel for anticipating ball movement, consistently putting herself in positions where she can impact the play on both ends.
