This morning, I released the Week Six Polls in all five divisions around the state. To close out the weekend, I want to continue highlighting some lesser-known players from around Wisconsin. Let's learn about some new players around America's Dairyland.

Mya Schroeder

The Ozaukee guard is a solid small-school player who can contribute to every aspect of a game for her Warriors group. Schroeder is a solid defender who can find ways to get her hands on the ball in the passing lanes and use her athleticism to try to score in transition. Schroeder is also a solid perimeter shooter who can spot up from beyond the three-point line and knock down shots. She has had an impressive sophomore campaign.

Tori Ohman

Ohman is a versatile player for her Glenwood City group. She is a physical wing who can use her body to box out and rebound around the basket defensively, controlling the area around the basket. Offensively, she can play through contact around the basket and find ways to earn some points in the paint. However, Ohman is also capable of spacing the floor and knocking down shots from the perimeter. She may be a tweener size-wise, but she has found ways to help her team compete on both ends of the floor in her junior season.

Catie Lavold

The Mauston guard has been a productive member of the Golden Eagles' backcourt this season. Lavold is a solid athlete who can make plays in her team's transition offense and score around the basket. The Mauston native has also shown an ability to spot up and space the floor from the perimeter. She has the tools to play either guard spot at the high school level. She brings a poise to the floor when she's out there and elevates any unit she is a part of at Mauston.

Brooklyn Talmage

The Boyceville wing is an excellent spot shooter from beyond the three-point line, who can knock down multiple shots from beyond the arc in a game. Her ability to shoot is something that will be at or near the top of every opposing scouting report. Another thing I appreciate is her ability to be in good positions on the weak side of the floor, which allows her to catch wayward passes from opposing guards or wings. She has a way to affect games without needing to be a ball-dominant player.
