Tonight, we have a few premier programs in Wisconsin locking horns this season, with Wauwatosa East travelling to Arrowhead in a matchup between the consensus No. 1 and No. 2 teams in Division 1, and Appleton East makes its trip to Kimberly this season in a game that will probably tell us who will take or share the Fox Valley Association crown this winter. I will not be at either of those games, instead opting for a North Shore matchup where Grafton hosts Hartford in a matchup between two of the top three teams in the conference. Now that we've set the stage for what should be a brilliant night of basketball, let's discuss some players for regional programs to know in the current junior class.

An injury ended what looked to be a breakout season for the Pewaukee product, but there is plenty to like about what [player_tooltip player_id='888382' first='Eva' last='Denzien'] brings to the court. The wing is a player who can contribute to every aspect of the game. I thought she was an excellent passer on the perimeter, allowing her teammates to earn looks at the basket by cutting to the basket. I also thought she took a step as a perimeter shooter this season, and if nothing else, she played with more confidence than she did when she was thrust into action as a sophomore due to injuries. She won't play this summer, but she is a player who can help numerous programs at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='751249' first='Brynlee' last='Hildebrand']

The Garfton guard has carved out a role as an on-ball player next to some talented players in the Black Hawks' ranks. Hildebrand isn't a player who will hunt her shots; she lets the game come to her and is willing to take open shots when they come her way. She is in a situation where her team doens't need her to take 12 shots per game, and she can be a player who moves the ball if her shots aren't falling in order to find ways to elevate her team's offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1229695' first='Ndey' last='Cham']

Every team needs a player who is willing to do things that don't show up on stat sheets, and Cham is that player for La Follette. The Lancer is a physical player who is willing to rebound on both ends, dive on the floor, set screens, work for position around the basket, and be okay with not having plays run for her. She is as much of a “blue-collar” player as anyone in the state, and when she's at her best, she's a fun player to watch play her game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217182' first='Bailey' last='Nelson']

The Nelson family has had two players have successful college careers to this point, with Peighton at Hillsdale and now at UW-Parkside, and Karsyn has helped Ripon reach the D3 NCAA Tournament in her first season of college basketball. Now, Bailey is a player who will have opportunities to play at the next level after this summer of grassroots basketball. Nelson is a quick guard who can handle the ball and attack, and has impressed me as a cutter working away from the ball this season.
