From what it looks like, I'll have a few days out of the gym to do some things that I've been meaning to do for some time. It also gives me a chance to look back on games I've attended or watched via stream to discuss players who have impressed me this season. That said, let's look at some players who deserve recognition for their performances so far this season.

The Arrowhead wing/forward has been one of my favorite players to watch in the 2026 class since the current crop of seniors entered the high school ranks in the 2022-23 season. Gilmore is a player who can slot into most roles on both ends of the floor, and her defensive versatility was an important part of the Warhawks' 2024 state championship run. Now, she has become one of the better rebounders in the state, and this could be why the Warhawks, potentially, win their second state title in the past three years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049239' first='Noelle' last='Rauwolf']

The Verona guard seems to be a player who makes the right play with the ball in her hands. Rauwolf is an athletic kid who excels in multiple sports for the Wildcats. She is a player who can score from all three levels of the floor and can make the right read with the ball in her hands. The junior is also a talented defender who can move her feet and stay in front of opposing guards, and keep them from getting into the paint.

I love guards who can lead their team vocally and control what their team wants to do on both ends of the floor. Outside of the skills that she brings to the lead guard spot, she has all the intangibles that will help elevate any program she's a part of. She is a player who can attack all three levels of the floor and is willing to shoot whenever she has space due to the incredible amount of confidence she brings to the ball.

The Monona Grove forward has had an excellent senior season with the Silver Eagles. She has been a solid finisher around the basket and has also proven that she can space the floor and knock down shots from the perimeter. She may be the breakout player of the year around the state, and is a player that scholarship programs looking for 2026s should take a look at this season.
