Here is a look at some New Names of forwards who caught our eye at Nixa on Thursday night.

Cora Kubick (Nixa): A 5'11" 2028 forward who is a very physical player in the low post. She did a great job of sitting down and establishing good position in the post. She can go with the power move on the drop step and use her footwork with a spin move or an up and under. She also did a good job of working her way inside for rebounding position on the weak side to get offensive putbacks.

Kinley Kilburn (Republic): A 5'9" 2028 forward who did a very solid job off the bench in the Tigers victory over Helias. The young lefty has a nice touch around the basket and she also rebounded the ball very well. She is a very good screener and I was also very impressed with her passing ability. She could pass out of the high post and also send an accurate pass over the defense to an open shooter.

Miah Johnson (Nixa): A 5'10" 2027 forward who has good athleticism and versatility to excel at both ends of the court. She attacks in the lane well to draw contact to get to the free throw line. She also catches the ball well in the post and keeps it high to finish. She read the defense to score on a backdoor cut to the basket for a layup. She also hit a Corner 3-pointer in the second half.

Blair Bough (Strafford): A 5'10 2028 forward who does a good job of playing her role. She is a good athlete who can rebound and keep the ball moving. She can also handle the ball well and when she was left open, she hit a 22-foot 3-pointer with a lot of confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='931521' first='Katie' last='Bryant'] (Nixa): A 6'0" 2028 forward who came off the bench and provided good minutes with her physicality. She had a strong defensive presence inside as she walled off with good position while also blocking a shot. She also worked the weak side for offensive rebounds and putbacks.

Lola Wunderlich (Cape Notre Dame): A 5'11 2026 forward who can impact the game with her length and mobility. She is a capable rebounder who can also block shots. She does a good job of keeping the ball high on the catch.
