Primetime Players in the AA Top 10

As we get closer to February and the all important region and state tournaments, teams ranked in the top ten are making final adjustments and narrowing down their rotations for the most important games of the season. The best teams have been led by the consistent and productive play of their best players. These players will be the driving force behind their team's postseason success.    Jenkins is a very versatile kid for Josey playing three positions effectively and creating mismatches for opposing teams. Jenkins has good size and length who is very effective scoring around the basket. She does a very nice job keeping the ball above high above her shoulders and finishes quickly on dump offs from teammates and put backs from offensive rebounds. Jenkins is shooting an amazing 73% from the floor on her way to averaging almost 18 points per game for Josey. Jenkins is also one of the leading rebounders in the state averaging over 15 per game.     Fluellen is another dynamic piece who does an excellent job consistently stuffing the stat sheet for Josey where she is averaging 16 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5 assist, and almost six steals per game. Fluellen is an elite ball handler on offense with a flashy but effective handle. She is not afraid to use tricky dribbling combinations in her bag to create space for herself to score or draw help from the defense and drop the ball off to her teammates. She plays the game under control and composed, always valuing the basketball.     Rosser has one of the more impressive stat lines for any point guard in Georgia averaging 13 points, six rebounds, 6.3 steals, and almost six assists per game. She is very effective in transition in the middle third of the court where she uses her handle and quickness to blow by or go around defenders. Rosser is a legit threat from three point range as well. Rosser is in total command of the offense for Thomson where she does an excellent job conducting the orchestra. Rosser is a very quick player on defense and does an excellent job anticipating where the ball is going and moving her feet to get in position..     Burke has put up some huge double-double numbers this season for Morgan County. She scores in a multitude of ways, but is most effective using her athleticism both getting out in transition and running the floor for easy baskets and also attacking the basket in the half court where Burke uses her very good quickness and jumping ability to get into the paint and strength finishing through contact. Burke is also a threat from 10-12 feet shooting the ball making her a tough matchup as a stretch four. She is an active rebounder who pursues the ball out of her area.     McCoy brings a lot of ability to the table for Columbia, none more obvious or impressive than her ability to create turnovers on the defensive end of the floor. McCoy does a fantastic job stealing the ball whether she is on the ball or leaves her area to go trap. She keeps her hands high and wide creating deflections and steals, quickly turning offense into defense. McCoy also has a knack for jumping in the passing lane and intercepting the ball as well. She is averaging almost six steals per game to go along with 10 points and two rebounds.
