Talented Forward and Post Players Around SoCal

These players have been showcasing a diverse range of skills this season. The talent on display is impressive, spanning from athletes just beginning to tap into their potential through strength and athleticism, to more polished players who already demonstrate confidence as shooters and passers. Here are just a few post players we've had our eye on.    Aislin displays a high-level understanding of the game for her age. She frequently operates as a point forward, handling the ball in transition and consistently creating scoring opportunities for her teammates with her eyes up and awareness of the floor. She is a capable shooter out to the three-point line and finishes well in the paint, using craft and touch to neutralize longer defenders. Where Aislin truly separates herself is as a passer in the half court. She has an advanced feel for directing teammates into backdoor cuts, finding dump-off passes, and kicking out of double teams to open shooters. As she continues to grow more assertive offensively, her natural feel for the game will only elevate her overall impact.     Ivana is putting together a strong senior season as the anchor of a solid Los Osos squad. Offensively, she consistently establishes deep position on the block and makes the most of her post touches with good back-to-the-basket moves and a soft finish around the rim. She is also a key piece of the offense as a screener, creating clean looks for shooters and serving as a reliable option in the pick-and-roll game. On the offensive glass, Ivana plays with great pursuit and physicality, making her difficult to box out and earning extra possessions for her team. Defensively, she does a strong job contesting shots at the rim and anchoring the paint, routinely limiting opponents to one-and-done possessions.     Bianca is fundamentally sound post player out of Cathedral Catholic. She displays the ability to finish with either hand while also being able handle the ball in the open court with either hand. She has a presence on both the offensive and defensive glass, with an ability to grab a rebound and bring the ball up and become a secondary playmaker in the halfcourt. Her offensive game is very polished, with an ability to face up and navigate around defenders while also extending her range out to the 3-point line. This unsigned senior will be ready to make significant contributions at the next level.     Serena is a commanding interior presence for her team, consistently drawing defensive attention with her ability to establish deep position and score efficiently around the rim. She displays a diverse offensive skill set, finishing through contact and showing comfort operating both with her back to the basket and facing up, where she uses her size and strength to seal defenders and generate high-percentage looks. Defensively, Serena has a strong feel for positioning, allowing her to protect the rim effectively, cut off driving lanes, and use her length to contest and alter shots     Kyara is a versatile big for Canyon, able to impact the game at a high level in a variety of ways. Her mobility makes her a mismatch against slower bigs, able to beat them down the floor in transition and face up and a go around them in the half court. She moves well defensively, able to recover on drives to deter shots at the rim and be in the right position to help when teammates are in trouble. She also good foundational shot mechanics, making it difficult to leave her open as she is able to hit consistently from 15 feet and even out to the 3-point line. She features a polished interior game, effectively blending patience with athleticism to score efficiently in the mid and low post. Logan shows excellent touch on her hook shot over either shoulder, a move made difficult to contest by her length and lift. That same athleticism translates on the glass, where she consistently tracks down offensive rebounds for putbacks and serves as a reliable force on the defensive boards. Defensively, her length and mobility allow her to switch onto guards when needed and recover back to her primary assignment, helping disrupt offensive flow and extend possessions.
