Last Thursday morning, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana posted the Winter update for the Class of 2028. Typically accompanying updates are articles highlighting players on the move, newcomers, and just all-around general information regarding each position group. Below is a look at the top small forwards in the state of Indiana, followed by some commentary on a handful of prospects who have played well since the Fall update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1171496' first='Gabbi' last='Harvey'], Brownsburg H.S.
- Over the last few years, Brownsburg has had a great deal of size, but their size has also possessed good skill. This year is no different, and Gabbi is a bright spot for their future. She has the size & strength of a power forward, and she can post up and operate around the block. At the same time, she's a solid athlete, she has nice length, and she's an improving perimeter shooter. She has created a nice inside-out versatility for herself.

[player_tooltip player_id='1262616' first='Ana' last='Lehman'], South Adams H.S.
- Ana had a solid start to her career last season, but now, she is a standout and leader for the Starfires. She has nice length, fluid athleticism, and developing strength. She is a good perimeter shooter when she's able to get set and find rhythm, plus she plays with a quiet toughness and doesn't mind physicality at all. She'll get inside to rebound/defend, plus she'll drive the ball and earn free throw trips. She's a nice all-around wing/guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225059' first='Destiny' last='Perry'], South Bend John Adams H.S.
- Destiny has always been incredibly intriguing to me, because she has looked like she's going to grow a lot. She might even be in the middle of a growth spurt right now. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic, somewhat bouncy, and she's able to affect the game at all three levels. She can slash to the basket for scores, she has an improving shot outside, she's very good in the mid-post, plus she's effective as both a rebounder and interior defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='928183' first='Jaycee' last='Archer'], Linton-Stockton H.S.
- Jaycee is one of those Southern Indiana kids who is "just a ballplayer". She is passionate about the game and always seems to play harder than others on the floor. She is a capable perimeter shooter, but she's such a strong kid, that when she drives it, she naturally draws contact and earns repeated trips to the charity stripe. She has really worked on her handle and can even initiate the offense. She'll just need to get a little quicker defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678171' first='Kyla' last='Kjendalen'], DeKalb H.S.
- Kyla recently got on my radar, and from what I've learned about her so far, I am anxious to see her play in person. She is a wiry-strong, long, and athletic wing with some bounce to her. She plays with an outstanding motor, and she has a versatile inside-out game as well. She can attack the basket athletically, she's great in the mid-post, and she's an improving shooter & ball-handling. Defensively, she really gets after it and creates turnovers.
