1A Semifinal: Fort Thomas/St. David

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On <strong>Saturday, February 21st</strong>, the 1A semifinals took place at <strong>Millennium High School</strong> in <strong>Goodyear.</strong> The <strong>St David Tigers</strong> took on the <strong>Fort Thomas Apaches. </strong>This was a rematch of a January contest in which the Apaches defeated the Tigers. This contest was close, with neither team able to pull away. Quick off the bounce, strong handle, and finished at a high rate around the rim. She poured in a game-high 27 points and did it in a variety of ways. She was the primary ballhandler, and her athleticism got her to her spots even when she was double-teamed. Emma finished with a team-high 20 before fouling out. Knocked down shots when given space and didn't get rattled. Steady contributor in a high-pressure setting.
