Her athleticism jumps off the floor, and she pairs it with a smooth, repeatable shooting stroke that extends well beyond the arc. She plays with strength and pace, attacking downhill with purpose and finishing through contact at the rim.

She's had multiple breakout performances this season, leading her team in scoring in several key matchups, and her range forces defenders to pick her up early. When she gets into rhythm, she can score at all three levels and completely shift the momentum of a game.

Makinley poured in 16 points against Box Elder, leading Payson in scoring, even though it wasn't her season high. Earlier this year, she dropped 22 in a standout performance, proving she's capable of carrying the offensive load when needed. If she can maintain that scoring rhythm, she will head into the next round with confidence. She could be hitting her stride at exactly the right time for Payson.

Cumorah has been a force for Timpview all season, carrying a heavy workload and delivering when it matters most. Against Hunter, she set the tone with 13 points, impacting the game on both ends and doing the dirty work that doesn't always show up in the box score. Her physicality and motor were key in securing the win. Now, with Bountiful looming in the next round, the challenge intensifies. If Timpview is going to compete, Cumorah will need another high-level performance against a deeper, more physical lineup.

Lexie has been a key contributor for Spanish Fork, but we haven't had her on our list, so it was a good player to highlight. In the win for Spanish Fork, she put in 23 points. Spanish will have a formidable opponent Thursday, in playing Fremont, and Lexie will have to find a way to have those around her step up and help

As a junior who has significantly carried her squad over

Baja has embraced the role of young leader for Bonneville all season and has handled it with poise beyond her years. She controls tempo, makes smart reads, and consistently puts her team in position to compete. With another year ahead to refine her skill set, her ceiling remains high, but right now her focus is clear — give the seniors one more meaningful game to play. Expect her to come out aggressive and composed tonight against Pleasant Grove, setting the tone from the opening tip.
