This was a game of swings. University led 9–8 after the first quarter and the teams went into halftime deadlocked at 19–18. Hermiston responded in the third quarter with 23 points, briefly flipping momentum and making it feel like they might slip away from the Titans. University answered with a composed fourth quarter, outscoring Hermiston 16–6 to secure the win. Rebounding was a major separator. University finished with 38 total rebounds compared to Hermiston's 23. That 15 rebound margin allowed the Titans to survive a tough shooting night at 32 percent from the field. Hermiston actually shot 43 percent overall, but turnovers and late game execution limited their closing push. University also converted 13 of 18 free throws, a steady source of offense when half court scoring stalled.

Handran led the Titans with 20 points on 7 of 17 shooting and knocked down two three pointers while going 4 for 4 at the free throw line. She remained aggressive even when shots were contested and continued attacking the paint late. In a game where rhythm came and went, her ability to generate offense consistently mattered.

Ashton posted a strong all around performance with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Nine of those boards came on the offensive end, creating extra possessions that helped stabilize the Titans during Hermiston's third quarter surge. Her physicality inside was one of the biggest reasons University maintained control of the glass.

Ahumada finished with nine points, hitting two three pointers and converting three of four free throws. She provided spacing on the perimeter and timely scoring when the offense needed relief. Her activity defensively added balance to her offensive production.

Teegarden led Hermiston with 13 points and was active as a playmaker with four assists. She attacked gaps and kept the Bulldogs competitive through the first three quarters. Even as University tightened defensively in the fourth, she continued to press for scoring opportunities.

Rodriguez scored 11 points and hit three of five from beyond the arc. Her perimeter shooting helped fuel Hermiston's strong third quarter push. She also contributed defensively with five steals, showing impact on both ends of the floor.

University did not dominate this game statistically across the board. They were outshot from the field and endured a heavy third quarter push. What separated them was rebounding control, free throw efficiency, and composure late. When the fourth quarter tightened, the Titans executed while Hermiston stalled. In postseason environments, that difference is often the margin.
