She is averaging 15.0 points per game, which is one of the highest marks amongst freshmen statewide. Her offensive mindset is aggressive, and she looks to attack defenders the moment she sees a gap. Johnston shows confidence handling the ball in traffic and finishing through contact at the rim. She does not rely on set plays to score and can create her own offense late in possessions. Her ability to push tempo in transition adds easy points for Torrington. She rebounds well for a guard and immediately turns boards into fast break opportunities. As her decision making continues to mature, her production well only become more efficient. Johnston already plays with he composure of an upperclassman despite being a freshman. </p>

SHe plays with confidence and does not hesitate when opportunities arise. Her activity shows up across the stat sheet beyond just scoring. Defensively, she competes hard and is willing to take on tough matchups. Malone's feel for the game is advanced for a first-year player. Windsor Locks has a freshman who already looks like a seasoned varsity senior. </p>
