<p><strong><em>Class 3A District 2 Tournament:</em></strong></p>

<p>This tournament featured 12 teams fighting it out from the KingCo & Metro league for 5 spots at the state tournament.</p>

<p>In the first round, it was all loser out games. #6 Bishop Blanchet beat #11 Sammamish, 62-42 to advance. #10 Seattle Academy upset #7 Garfield, 59-44 to continue their season. #5 Lakeside (Seattle) beat #12 West Seattle, 63-25. #8 Liberty (Renton) would beat #9 Seattle Prep, 61-39 to advance. </p>

<p>Now begins the double elimination part of the bracket. #1 Eastside Catholic took on #8 Liberty (Renton) and won easily, 76-33 to advance, Liberty would still have a chance to make state in the loser out part of the bracket. #2 Bellevue easily beat #10 Seattle Academy, 92-53 to advance. SAAC will still have a chance to make it. #3 Roosevelt beat #6 Bishop Blanchet, 68-58 to advance. #5 Lakeside (Seattle) beat #4 Mercer Island, 65-64 in a back and forth game.</p>

<p>In the loser-out section, #6 Bishop Blanchet would beat #10 Seattle Academy, 62-45 to keep their season alive. #4 Mercer Island would beat #8 Liberty, 55-45 to advance as well.</p>

<p>Now to the semi-final action of the tournament. #1 Eastside Catholic pulled out a close win over #5 Lakeside (Seattle), 49-47 to advance to the district championship game. #2 Bellevue would beat #3 Roosevelt, 68-57 to advance on. Lakeside and Roosevelt would go to the 3rd place game but both teams will be going to state.</p>

<p>Now to the loser out games again, #6 Bishop Blanchet beat #4 Mercer Island, 56-48 in a winner-to-state / loser-go-home game.</p>

<p>#3 Roosevelt would beat #5 Lakeside (Seattle), 54-45 to claim 3rd place but both teams will head to state.</p>

<p>For the class 2A district 2 tournament, 9 teams were striving for just 2 guaranteed spots at state.</p>

<p>The tournament began with a play-in game that was between Evergreen (Seattle) and Cheif Sealth. #8 Cheif Sealth would win, 36-33 to advance while Evergreen was eliminated.</p>

<p>Now the bracket will turn into double elimination. #1 Nathan Hale took care of #8 Cheif Sealth, 90-43. #2 Renton beat #7 Sultan, 62-24 to advance. #6 Foster upset #3 Cleveland, 40-34 to advance on. #4 Cedarcrest would beat #5 Lindbergh, 58-21.</p>

<p>In the loser out part of the tournament, #3 Cleveland would beat #7 Sultan, 55-31 to keep their season alive and eliminate Sultan. #8 Cheif Sealth would upset #5 Lindbergh, 48-47 to advance on. </p>

<p>In the semi-final action of the tournament, #1 Nathan Hale beat #4 Cedarcrest, 60-55 to advance to the district championship game. Cedarcrest would go to the loser out section of the bracket. #2 Renton would beat #6 Foster, 66-37 to advance to the district championship game. Foster would go to the loser out section of the tournament to keep their hopes alive. </p>

<p>Back to the loser out section of this bracket. #4 Cedarcrest would beat #3 Cleveland, 48-33 to keep their season alive. #6 Foster would beat #8 Cheif Sealth, 63-56 to advance on and eliminate Cheif Sealth. #4 Cedarcrest would then beat #6 Foster, 56-47 to send themselves to a winner to state game against the district championship game loser. Foster would be eliminated.</p>

<p>In the district 2 2A championship game, #1 Nathan Hale would beat Renton, 74-60 to punch their ticket to state and claim the district title. </p>

<p>It started with a loser-out play-in game that #8 Tyee won over University Prep, to eliminate the #9 seed and advance on.</p>

<p>Now the bracket goes to double-elimination. #1 Kings beat #8 Tyee, 69-28 to advance. #2 Cedar Park Christian would beat #7 Overlake, 46-25. #3 Bear Creek took care of #6 Granite Falls, 55-15. Finally, #5 Eastside Prep would beat #4 South Whidbey, 48-30 to advance. </p>

<p>In the loser out section of the bracket, #6 Granite Falls would beat #7 Overlake, 43-37 to advance on. #8 Tyee would upset #4 South Whidbey, 37-27 to advance. South Whidbey and Overlake would see their seasons end.</p>

<p>In the semi-final part of the bracket & a trip to state on the line as both teams in the district championship game make state, #3 Bear Creek would beat #2 Cedar Park Christian, 34-31 to earn their spot in the district championship game and the state tournament. #1 Kings would do the same thing, beating #5 Eastside Prep, 64-19. Eastside Prep & Cedar Park Christian would go to the loser out section, still striving for a state tournament bid. </p>

<p>In the loser out section, #2 Cedar Park Christian would defeat #8 Tyee, 54-38 to keep their season alive. Tyee would be eliminated. #5 Eastside Prep defeated #6 Granite Falls, 36-25 to keep their season alive.</p>

<p>Now in a winner to state / loser out game, #2 Cedar Park Christian would defeat #5 Eastside Prep, 54-38 to earn their spot at state.</p>
