Division II-A District 3 Stock Risers

However, Division II A kicks off its tournament this upcoming week. The field has been set, and these next couple of days (Monday and Tuesday) are a win-or-go-home type scenario. One of the things that I would like to point out is that, amidst all this going on, there has been a steady stream of young ladies who have put a solid body of work together.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Within the Middle Tennessee Region in Division II A, there have been a few young ladies who have piqued my interest as of late. They have battled consistently, making coaches gameplan for players to adjust to. Someone who plays with relentless energy, she helped will her to new heights as she battled onthe floor. A kid who can play solid on both ends, it was her efforts that spearheaded runs throughout games. She can score from all 3 levels, but she had a knack for getting offensive boards and putting it back up. Plays with a lot of speed, she can lets her quickness be an asset as she gets it done. She can score from the perimeter, but attacking the rim is what she does best. She is a pest on the defensive end, causing havoc that leads to turnover opportunities in favor of her club. She can score double digits and provide rebounding opportunities, however it is her defense that sets her a part from most. She is a tough kid who grinds away at the opposition. Her versatility poses as a threat as she can mix it up with guards and bigs. She can stretch the floor, score over either shoulder in the low block areas, but her big thing is her ability to  gain rebounds on both ends of the floor. Playing with a lot of confidence, she has provided the Lady Bulldogs ball club with an extra added spark. Sure she can put the ball in the hoop, but her length poses as a threat as she is often in situation where she has favorable mismatches. Look for her to continue to grow as she works on her craft. A versatile wing player who can do work both inside and out. She can face up and score by putting the ball on the floor, shoot efficently from the arc, post up and finish down low, her ability to score has risen since last year. Defensively, besides controlling the boards, she has created steal opportunities due to her size and length. Teams throw errant passes over or around her which enable her teammates to shoot the gaps. This kid is a shot blocker too, which in turn sends a message to the other team and provides her club with a spark.
