2026 Shamrock Classic Top 16U Guards Day 2

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Shamrock Classic, which was hosted at both Westfield High School and Finch Creek. The event brought together a wide range of talent, featuring players from 3rd through 11th grade, with a strong concentration of junior high and high school prospects competing at a high level. Throughout the weekend, the gyms were filled with energy, competitive matchups, and a consistent display of skill, toughness, and basketball IQ.   Across all age groups, there was no shortage of talent on the floor. Multiple teams showed strong chemistry and structure, while individual players stepped up in key moments to separate themselves. The tournament also drew the attention of several college coaches, adding another level of intensity and exposure for the athletes competing. It was clear that many players embraced the opportunity to perform in front of evaluators and continued to elevate their level of play as the weekend progressed. I had the opportunity to watch this team twice over the weekend and came away very impressed with the level of play, chemistry, and overall competitiveness they displayed.   What makes this group even more intriguing is that several of these young women were part of the program's 15U team and are already playing up an age level. Despite that, they showed no signs of being outmatched. In fact, they consistently competed with confidence, poise, and a strong understanding of the game against older competition.   Their ability to play fast, make reads, and execute offensively stood out right away. Defensively, they brought energy and intensity, applying pressure and forcing tough possessions. The combination of skill, athleticism, and basketball IQ across the roster makes this a very dangerous group, both now and moving forward. She looks very comfortable with the basketball in her hands, showing confidence in her decision-making and poise under pressure. On the second day of the Shamrock Classic, she was especially impressive. What stood out most was her ability to break down defenders off the dribble. She showed a quick first step and the ability to change speeds, allowing her to get into the paint with ease. Once she got there, she finished strong at the rim, displaying touch, control, and body awareness through contact. Her ability to create her own shot and convert in traffic made her a tough matchup throughout the day.   Beyond scoring, Halle contributed to the overall flow of the game. She made smart reads, kept the ball moving when needed, and didn't force unnecessary plays. Her presence on the floor gave her team a steady offensive rhythm and helped create opportunities for others as well. Throughout the weekend, she showed how versatile her game really is. She can create off the dribble, get to her spots, and knock down shots from the outside. Her size allows her to see over defenders and make the right reads, while her skillset gives her the ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Whether she's scoring, facilitating, or simply stretching the floor, she brings a strong presence every time she steps on the court.   Reagan is already holding multiple Division I offers, and based on her performance, it's easy to see why. As she continues into the spring and summer, she should see her recruitment pick up even more. With her combination of size, skill, and overall feel for the game, she has all the tools college coaches look for in a high-level guard. There's a clear reason why “Elite” is in their name—it truly shows on the court with the way they compete and execute. From top to bottom, this roster is loaded with talent and plays with a level of confidence and chemistry that separates them from many others.   They are extremely well-rounded, especially in the backcourt, where they have multiple guards who can get downhill, knock down perimeter shots, and defend at a high level. Their ability to consistently apply pressure on both ends of the floor makes them tough to game plan against. No matter the matchup, they have players who can step up and make an impact.   What makes this team even more dangerous is their depth. It's not just the starting group—players coming off the bench bring the same level of energy, skill, and production. There's no drop-off, which allows them to maintain intensity throughout the entire game. That depth, combined with their overall talent and versatility, makes [program_tooltip program_id='999574' first='Indiana' last='Basketball Club'] 16U S40 Elite a team that will continue to be a problem for opponents moving forward.    [player_tooltip player_id='992362' first='La'Starr' last='Williams'], better known as “Star,” is living up to her nickname and emerging as a star very quickly. In her first game back since November, she didn't miss a beat. From the moment she stepped on the court, she looked comfortable and confident, showing no signs of rust after the time away.   She was excellent in transition, running the floor hard, getting to her spots, and doing a great job of pushing the basketball. Her ability to create pace and put pressure on the defense stood out, especially when she had the ball in her hands. On the perimeter, she showcased her skill set by handling the ball with control and knocking down step-back jump.     [player_tooltip player_id='1241466' first='Bailee' last='Robbins'] played on a very talented Eastern team this past high school season, and now she's bringing that same experience and production to a loaded IBC 16U S40 Elite squad. She's a true combo guard who can impact the game in multiple ways, whether it's attacking the rim or knocking down shots from the perimeter.   What stands out about Bailee is her versatility. She has the ability to handle the ball, create her own shot, and make plays within the flow of the offense. When she's aggressive, she puts a lot of pressure on the defense because she can score at all three levels. Her ability to both slash and space the floor makes her a valuable piece on an already talented roster.   She fits perfectly with this IBC team, and that's what makes them so difficult to guard. They have multiple players, including Bailee, who can score the basketball in a variety of ways. There's no single player you can key in on defensively, which creates constant challenges for opponents. With her skillset and the talent around her, Bailee is in a great position to continue making an impact this spring and summer.     It's not often you see Kentucky players come over to play for Indiana AAU programs, but when they do, it usually means they can really hoop—and Courtney proved exactly that this past weekend. She came in and made an immediate impact, showing that she belongs with this group.   Courtney can flat out shoot the basketball. Whether it was spotting up or finding space within the offense, she consistently knocked down shots and stretched the floor. Her ability to score from the perimeter adds another dimension to an already loaded roster.   That's what makes this IBC 16U S40 Elite team so dangerous, especially heading into the live periods. The amount of talent they have, combined with players like Courtney who can come in and produce right away, makes them extremely tough to defend. With so many scoring threats on the floor at once, it's nearly impossible for defenses to key in on just one player. Despite being new, their 16U EYCL team already looks like a well-balanced group with a lot of talent across the roster. They have a good mix of players who understand their roles and compete at a high level.   I had the opportunity to watch them go up against a talented West Virginia team, and they held their own. What stood out was their ability to play together, stay composed, and compete on both ends of the floor. For a first-year program, they show a lot of promise and potential as they continue to grow and build their identity.    [player_tooltip player_id='1225065' first='Eevey' last='Tolliver'] is an underrated 2028 guard who knows how to play the game the right way. She impacts the game on multiple levels, not just as a scorer but in how she elevates her team overall. With the ball in her hands, she shows a strong feel for the game, making smart decisions and consistently putting herself and her teammates in positions to succeed.   What stands out most is her ability to balance scoring with playmaking. She can put the ball in the basket when needed, but she's just as effective at creating opportunities for others. Whether it's breaking down the defense or making the extra pass, she does a great job of generating quality looks for her teammates.   Eevey's presence goes beyond the stat sheet. She plays with a high IQ, understands spacing, and brings a level of unselfishness that helps her team flow offensively. As she continues to develop, she's definitely a guard that more people should start paying attention to.     This was my first time watching this Greensburg guard play, and I was very impressed with what she brings to the court. Throughout her games this weekend, she did an excellent job of finding her spots and getting to areas where she could be effective as a scorer. When given space, she consistently knocked down shots and showed confidence in her ability to produce offensively.   What stood out most was her understanding of how to move without the ball and position herself in both transition and the half-court. She didn't force shots, but instead let the game come to her, which made her even more efficient. Whether she was running the floor or working within the offense, she found ways to make an impact.   Beyond her scoring ability, she displayed a strong level of competitiveness that was hard to match. She played with energy, focus, and determination on every possession, which helped set the tone for her team. If she continues to build on this performance, she's definitely a player who will keep turning heads.
