Across Louisiana, the Class of 2028 in girls' basketball is deeper than most people realize—and it's time the spotlight catches up.

From packed gyms in the big cities to quiet hardwood floors in small towns, a wave of young athletes is putting in real work. Early mornings. Late nights. Endless reps when nobody's watching. These aren't just players—they're builders, grinding to elevate every part of their game.

But too many of them are still flying under the radar.

Not because they lack talent. Not because they aren't producing. But because the exposure hasn't found them yet.

And that's about to change.

This class is loaded—floor generals who can control the pace, wings who can score at all three levels, and defenders who take pride in locking down their matchup. They bring grit, passion, and a hunger you can't teach. They're not waiting for opportunities… they're preparing for them.

Louisiana has always been a basketball state—and this next generation is ready to carry that torch. With the right attention, the right platforms, and the right eyes watching, these “hidden gems” won't stay hidden much longer.

The Class of 2028 is coming. And they're coming strong.

It's time to shift the spotlight. Because the Class of 2028 isn't coming—they're already here.

Paris—better known as “P” to her coaches, trainers, and teammates—is the definition of a grinder. Nothing about her journey has been given; everything has been earned through sacrifice, discipline, and a relentless drive to improve every single day. From traveling the country with AAU squads to competing in college prospect camps nationwide, Paris has embraced every moment to sharpen her game and elevate her level.

She plays fast. She plays hard. And most importantly—she plays with purpose.

With the ball in her hands, Paris is a problem. Her handle is tight, controlled, and confident, allowing her to create space and control the tempo at will. The work she's put in is showing up in real time. She can stretch defenses with deep three-point range or attack downhill and finish through contact with strength and confidence. Defenders are constantly forced to choose—and more often than not, they're choosing wrong.

But what truly separates Paris is her presence on both ends of the floor.

Defensively, she takes it personal. She's physical, locked in, and relentless—applying pressure, forcing turnovers, and turning defense into instant offense. She doesn't just guard… she disrupts, sets the tone, and changes the game.

And the work doesn't stop when the clock hits zero.

Off the court, Paris is just as impactful—giving back by training and mentoring younger athletes in her community. That speaks volumes about her leadership, character, and love for the game. In the classroom, she's getting it done as an A & B student, showing she has the discipline and focus to succeed at the next level.

Because make no mistake—that's where she's headed.

Paris isn't just chasing the next level… she's preparing for it. With her work ethic, skillset, and mindset, she's putting herself in position to stand out when the opportunity comes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1712063' first='Natalie' last='Dennis'], the dynamic point guard out of Central High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, doesn't just play the game—she dictates it. From the opening tip to the final buzzer, she's on the attack, applying relentless pressure and forcing defenses to react on her terms.

She's a true three-level scorer with a fearless edge—knocking down shots from deep, pulling up in the mid-range, and exploding to the rim with purpose. There's no hesitation in her game—only intent. Every move is calculated. Every possession makes a statement.

What separates Natalie isn't just her skill—it's the work behind it. You can see the hours, the discipline, the grind. Her confidence isn't given, it's earned. Her shot is smooth, controlled, and dependable—the kind that makes defenders close out just a step too late. And she brings strength to match her skill—holding her own through contact and finishing strong every time she gets downhill.

With the ball in her hands, Natalie is a constant problem. She attacks the paint, collapses defenses, draws fouls, and makes the right reads—whether it's a tough finish or a clean setup for a teammate. She doesn't just run an offense… she puts pressure on it.

Defensively, she brings that same intensity. Active hands, quick feet, and a disruptive mindset—she turns stops into points and shifts momentum in an instant.

[player_tooltip player_id='1712063' first='Natalie' last='Dennis'] plays with fire, confidence, and purpose.

And one thing is clear—she's only getting started.
Keep working… I see you.

[player_tooltip player_id='1804508' first='Taylor' last='Decuir'], wearing #24 for Madison Prep at the small forward position, brings a level of toughness and physicality that doesn't always show up in the box score—but it shows up where it matters most: winning. She's the kind of player every team needs.

A true role player who embraces the dirty work, Taylor averages around 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals per game—but her impact goes far beyond the numbers. She plays with heart, effort, and a relentless motor, leaving everything on the floor every single possession.

Defensively, she sets the tone. Strong, physical, and disciplined, Taylor takes pride in guarding the frontcourt and bringing pressure wherever she's needed. She disrupts passing lanes, creates chaos, and turns defense into offense—finishing plays coast-to-coast and catching teams off guard in transition.

She may not be flashy—but she's effective. Taylor keeps her game simple, smart, and fundamentally sound. She handles the ball when needed, makes the right reads, and stays within herself while playing hard, physical basketball from start to finish.

She's not chasing the spotlight—but her game demands respect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1804508' first='Taylor' last='Decuir'] is the type of player coaches trust, teammates depend on, and opponents feel every possession.

Simply put—she's a winning piece.

[player_tooltip player_id='1309016' first='Jamia' last='Raby'] is a dynamic point guard who brings elite energy and impact—especially on the defensive end. She's relentless, flying after rebounds and setting the tone with her defensive intensity.

Her competitiveness stands out on every possession, and she plays with a fearless, “dog mentality” that lifts everyone around her. Jamia doesn't just play the game—she brings energy, toughness, and confidence every time she steps on the floor. A true two-way player, she can lock down on defense and still get buckets when her team needs it most.

[player_tooltip player_id='916995' first='London' last='Landers'], a tough and talented guard for Wossman High School, rocking jersey #4, has been a key force all season—helping lead her team on a strong playoff run. In the semifinal, she truly showed her star power, playing with the confidence, control, and composure of a seasoned upperclassman. Landers made winning plays all over the court, creating extra possessions, limiting mistakes, and staying locked in from start to finish.

She's a true bucket-getter, capable of scoring from anywhere—whether it's pulling up, stretching the floor, or attacking the rim. Add in her ability to crash the boards and step up to knock down clutch free throws in big moments, and it's clear she thrives under pressure. Her toughness and poise stood out, and you can see her game leveling up in real time as she continues to expand her skill set.

With a strong, physical build and the versatility to run the point or play off the ball, Landers has major upside. She's not just next up—she's on the way. Keep that name circled.
