Kodi Miller, wearing jersey number 23, is the point guard for the Lady Broncos of Simpson High School, and she is a member of the class of 2026. She and her team are currently ranked number 1 in the LHSAA Class C women's basketball bracket. Kodi and her team secured the title in the 2025 season and are aiming to achieve another championship before the conclusion of her high school career. Kodi is an exceptional player on the court and an excellent floor general, setting the tone and leading her team with strong communication on the hardwood. Kodi demonstrates her versatility on the court, playing with intensity on offense, scoring from various positions, and delivering precise passes to her teammates like [player_tooltip player_id='1143966' first='Bella' last='Hunnicutt'] for effortless baskets near the rim. Kodi truly excels on defense, where she consistently locks down opponents and pursues them across the court with remarkable determination. She is a truly special player who gives her all on the court, and as this is her final season, we extend our best wishes to her for the tournament and for her future endeavors after high school. [player_tooltip player_id='947842' first='Payton' last='Herpin'], a combo guard, wears jersey number 11 for the Lady Bruins of Belle City High School and is a member of the class of 2026. Payton and her team have secured the number one seed and are preparing to compete against the Mighty Lady Hawks of Zwolle. This promises to be an exciting game, likely featuring many lead changes and excellent matchups. Payton, a senior, is striving for a championship title and ring. She has committed to the Loyola University New Orleans women's basketball team, and we extend our congratulations. Payton possesses a fluid and elegant shooting style, consistently sinking deep three-pointers from well beyond the arc. In her previous game against Anacoco, she successfully made four three-point shots, all of which were perfect swishes. Payton is an exceptional ball handler and scorer; it is a pleasure to observe her graceful and composed play with the ball. She shoots with immense confidence and demonstrates unselfishness in her play. We wish her the very best of luck.     Pazile'ra Sanders, also known as Pay Pay, is a combo guard for the esteemed Lady Hawks of Zwolle High School, proudly wearing jersey number 23 as a member of the class of 2028. Currently, the Lady Hawks hold the 5th rank in their bracket and are preparing to compete against the formidable 1st-ranked Bell City. Ms. Sanders is a remarkably talented athlete who exhibits exceptional physical prowess, consistently attacking angles and driving to the basket with her signature Euro step, which she frequently executes during games. Over the years, Ms. Sanders has diligently refined her shooting skills, successfully incorporating a 3-point shot into her repertoire. She is a gifted player who, alongside Annie Thweat, forms a formidable combination that has thrived since junior high school and continues to excel at the high school level. Ms. Sanders demonstrates excellent ball-handling abilities when required and is fully capable of holding her own; while she may not be the most flamboyant player, she consistently achieves results, adhering to the principle of not fixing what isn't broken. Furthermore, Ms. Sanders is a tenacious defender, making her an outstanding overall player to watch. It is also noteworthy that in just her sophomore year, Ms. Sanders has already surpassed 1,000 points in her budding high school career, a testament to her burgeoning legacy.     Maddie Keys, a senior wearing jersey number 2 for the Lady Cougars of Calvin High School, is a member of the class of 2026. Maddie and her team are preparing to compete against Pleasant Hill, a formidable opponent. This promises to be an excellent game, especially given Maddie's consistent top-tier performances, similar to her recent game against Plainview. Maddie consistently demonstrates strong defensive skills, averaging two or more steals per game in her last seven outings. She also excels at scoring and is known for her unselfish play, which frequently creates excellent scoring opportunities for her teammates. Maddie and her team have a chance to advance to the finals and contend for the championship title and ring.     Reese Jean, a shooting guard for the Lady Eagles of Evan High School, wears jersey number 10 and is a member of the class of 2026. Reese and her teammates are preparing to compete against the number 1 seed, Simpson. This promises to be an excellent match, as both teams are known for their determination and passion. Reese is a formidable presence from beyond the arc, with her primary role on the court being to sink three-pointers. She is someone who cannot be left unguarded for even a moment, as she is highly likely to make the shot. While she is impactful on offense, she also demonstrates significant dedication and skill on defense, consistently hustling and giving her utmost effort.
