Show Me State Standouts in the NCAA Tournament

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of former standout players from the state who are participating in the tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bella Fontleroy (Baylor): The former Kickapoo standout has been a steady force for the Bears throughout her career. The 6'0" senior forward is currently averaging 9.0 points and 5.7 rebounds while playing 25 minutes a game. She is also one of the top defensive players in the Big XII Conferencen.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Allie Turner (Gonzaga): The former John Burroughs standout helped lead the Zags to the West Coast Conference tournament championship. The 5'9" sophomore point guard is averaging 14.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists a game while shooting an impressive 46 percent from 3-point range.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mia Nicastro (Western Illinois): The former St. Charles West standout was the Player of the Year in the Ohio Valley Conference. The 6'2" senior forward averaged 24.2 points and 9.9 rebounds while shooting 52 percent from the field and 38 percent from 3-point range. The 5'9" junior guard averaged 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds to lead the Lady Bears in both categories.
