Western Athletic Conference Exceptional Senior Game-Who Shined?

The top seniors of the very deep and talented Western Athletic Conference had one last chance to lace up their sneakers in the league's Exceptional Seniors Game. Some of the players participating have already made their commitments. Others are still mulling over their choices or are hoping to catch the eyes of a college coach. Considering that it was an all-star game, the players were competitive, and the game was entertaining. Here is a look at some of the standout players from the event.    Mayfield's [player_tooltip player_id='1137259' first='Brianna' last='Iannuzzi'] is known for her patented long-range shooting touch, and she had it on full display in this all-star game. Iannuzzi has unlimited range and will use it to her advantage anywhere, anytime. She came out in the opening segment and was on fire right away, knocking down two quick treys. Iannuzzi has the skills to beat defenders off the dribble, but spot-up shooting is her specialty. Iannuzzi is also an aggressive on-ball defender.     Bella Daguillo from Berne-Knox Westerlo had an outstanding performance in the game. Daguillo is the prototypical combo guard. She can score and is skilled at distributing the ball. Daguillo had her jumper dialed in from behind the arc. She also showed off her solid passing game. Daguillo had the play of the contest, wowing the crowd when she dribbled over midcourt and hit a teammate on a dime with a gorgeous one-handed bounce pass that was converted for a layup.     If I had to come up with one word to describe Annie Lendrum of Berne-Knox Westerlo, it would be versatile. Lemdrum was impressive with the array of things she can do on the floor. Lendrum has the build of a power forward, and she can score inside and rebound, but her game is more complete than that. In the All-Star Game, Lendrum displayed an ability to step outside and shoot 3-pointers. Lendrum also passes the ball well and is a solid rebounder and defender.     Olivia Trendell of Cobleskill-Ricmondville was one of the most talented players on the floor at the WAC Exceptional Seniors game. Trendell is an exceptional ballhandler who seems to always be playing downhill. Trendell loves to push the tempo and look for teammates who are out running the floor. She has excellent court vision that she uses to get others easy baskets. Trendell can beat defenders off the dribble to get to the basket or dish to teammates. Trendell is also an above-average shooter from behind the arc. Her quickness lends to her to be a solid on-the-ball defender.     Brooke Trumble of OESJ fits the definition of a pure scorer. Trumble can do it all. She is a 1,000 scorer, her program's all-time leading scorer, and a league Co-MVP. The strongest part of her skill set is her ability to get to the rim off the bounce and score. She is especially inept at drawing contact and using her strength to finish. Once she gets to the foul line, Trumble is nearly automatic. Trumble is a very good 3-point shooter and has a solid floater game. She is an excellent passer with great court vision. Trumble is a superb defender and rebounds well for her size, which results in points off putbacks.
