The Nannies controlled the game early with an 18-4 first quarter and never allowed Pe Ell to fully close the gap. Their ability to score inside and control the boards helped them maintain momentum throughout the night.   Pateros also held a 40-37 rebounding edge and outscored Pe Ell 38-24 in the paint. Establishing that kind of interior advantage helped them build the early cushion that carried through the rest of the game.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Most Dominant Victory</h2>   Yakama Tribal def. Pomeroy 50-39   Yakama Tribal delivered the most dominant victory of the round with an 11-point win that was defined by a decisive third quarter. The Eagles used a 19-point third period to break open a tight game and build their largest lead.   Defense played a major role as Yakama Tribal forced 35 turnovers and turned those mistakes into transition opportunities. When a team can create that many extra possessions in a state tournament game, it becomes very difficult for opponents to recover.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Biggest Surprise</h2>   Lummi Nation def. Almira-Coulee-Hartline 56-48   Lummi Nation secured one of the most competitive wins of the round with an overtime victory against Almira-Coulee-Hartline. The game featured eight lead changes and nine ties, highlighting how closely matched the teams were throughout regulation.   Lummi Nation eventually separated behind strong perimeter shooting, finishing the game with 11 made three-pointers. In a tight tournament matchup, that ability to convert from the perimeter proved decisive.ounding battle 46-28 and used that advantage to create extra opportunities that ultimately helped secure the win.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Impact Players from the Round</h2>    James delivered one of the top performances of the round with 20 points while knocking down five three-pointers. Her ability to stretch the defense created scoring opportunities throughout the game.   She also contributed seven rebounds and five assists, impacting the game well beyond scoring. When a guard can contribute across multiple categories in a state tournament game, it often drives the outcome.     Reeder added 17 points and played a key role in Lummi Nation's perimeter attack. She hit two three-pointers and converted five free throws while helping keep pressure on the defense.   Her scoring provided balance alongside James and helped the Blackhawks maintain offensive rhythm during critical stretches.     Wilson led Pateros with 21 points and 14 rebounds in a dominant interior performance. She finished efficiently around the basket and consistently created second-chance opportunities.   Her presence inside helped Pateros control the glass and dictate the pace of the game. When a forward produces both scoring and rebounding at that level, it often sets the tone for the entire team.     Ravenstein added 17 points and eight rebounds while shooting an efficient 8-of-14 from the field. She consistently attacked inside and provided steady scoring alongside Wilson.   Having two players produce double-digit scoring in the frontcourt gave Pateros a strong interior advantage throughout the game.     George led Yakama Tribal with 10 points while shooting efficiently from the field. She also contributed three rebounds and helped facilitate the Eagles' offense during their second-half run.
