I caught some exciting guards for the first time at the event, yet since I'm a REAL EVALUATOR, it didn't take me long to realize what I was looking at, so here ya go

Neaveh-Polanco falls into that #sizedontmatter group because she can flat out play. She uses her athleticism on both ends. "on the ball" pressure was solid, yet she also scored off the dribble, finishing acrobatically at times. Her "stop and pop" jumper looked good, but the most important thing was that she understood how to run her team

Mitchell was shifty with the ball and did a good job getting the defender off balance, as she can attack the basket. Her deceptive first step played a part in that, but her body control after contact needs to be mentioned, including her defense, which includes playing the passing lane. She also showed she wanted the ball down the stretch and could deliver from outside

Holmes also falls into that #sizedontmatter group, and her "never takes a play off" mindset is something you can't teach. Her "on the ball" pressure was smothering at times; she came away with steals, either using her hands or reading the floor and playing the passing lane. Her first step in the set is nice because she got to the basket to score or dish numerous times, but her court vision across the board looked good

Green is a "long and athletic" guard who can do so many things to change the momentum defensively. She dives on the floor for loose balls, her "on the ball" pressure creates havoc, and her quick hands get her steals. She handles the ball well and sees the floor in transition as well as the set, plus she can blow by defenders to score off the dribble

Cardova was another heady point guard who caught my eye early because her decision-making under pressure and understanding of who to give the ball to and when to give it to them will always stand out to me. In fact, her court vision in transition looked good, so did her scoring or dishing off the dribble
