The spotlight doesn't stop at First Team—and if you've been paying attention, you already know the Second Team in Class 2A is LOADED. This group brought intensity every night, filled stat sheets, and made their presence felt across Louisiana. These aren't just names… these are impact players who carried programs, delivered in big moments, and proved they belong in the conversation.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Second Team Selections</h3>   This squad showed up and showed out. Scorers. Playmakers. Competitors.   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1096022' first='Kariah' last='Dunn'] (East Feliciana, 5-8, Jr. – 17.0 PPG) A smooth and steady scorer who consistently produced. Dunn brought balance, control, and reliability every time she stepped on the floor.</li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1819173' first='Camri' last='Primeaux'] (Midland, 5-6, Jr. – 18.0 PPG) A dynamic guard with a scoring mindset. Primeaux kept defenses on edge with her ability to create and finish.</li>   <li>Ja'Rian Riley (Northeast, 5-0, 7th – 20.0 PPG) Let that sink in… 7th grader averaging 20 a game. Riley is a young star already making major noise with elite confidence and scoring ability.</li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='943322' first='Shanna' last='Simien'] (Lafayette Christian, 5-9, Jr. – 15.1 PPG) A versatile presence who impacted the game in multiple ways. Simien's length and skill made her a problem on both ends.</li>   <li>[player_tooltip player_id='947908' first='Caroline' last='Watson'] (Episcopal, 5-7, Sr. – 28.0 PPG) Flat out bucket-getter. [player_tooltip player_id='1096022' first='Kariah' last='Dunn'] is a dynamic combo guard with real scoring power and confidence in her game. At 5'8–5'9, she brings good size for the guard position and has shown she can impact the game as a three-level scorer. Prep Girls Hoops lists her as a PG/SG and notes her ability to score at all three levels, including a reported 25 PPG season average.   Dunn has the mindset of a scorer but still carries point guard value. She can handle the ball, attack off the dribble, create space, and put pressure on defenses. MaxPreps also shows her as a team leader in scoring for East Feliciana, with a big 35-point game posted early in the 2025-26 season.   What makes her stand out is her confidence, athletic upside, and ability to produce. She also brings track-and-field explosiveness, placing in Class 2A high jump, which shows up in her bounce, body control, and overall athletic profile.   Evaluation: Dunn is a name to keep watching in Louisiana's 2027 class. She has the tools to be a high-impact guard: scoring touch, size, athletic ability, and confidence. As she continues to grow as a decision-maker and defender, her stock has a chance to keep rising.     Ja'Rian Riley is an explosive young guard who is already producing at a high level early in her career. Averaging 20.0 points per game as a 7th grader, Riley shows advanced scoring instincts and a natural feel for the game that separates her from most players in her class.   Her scoring ability is what stands out immediately—she can put up points in a hurry and has a natural rhythm when the ball is in her hands. Riley plays with a fearless mentality, which allows her to impact the game beyond her age group.   Defensively, her quickness gives her the ability to stay in front of ball handlers and apply pressure, while her energy and effort show a willingness to compete on both ends.   Evaluation: Riley plays with confidence and aggression, operating as a scoring guard who isn't afraid to take over offensively. Despite her size, she competes with toughness and quickness, using her speed and ball-handling ability to create space and attack defenders. She shows the ability to get downhill, finish in traffic, and apply constant pressure on opposing defenses.     [player_tooltip player_id='943322' first='Shanna' last='Simien'] is a long, versatile combo guard with the physical tools and upside to impact the game on multiple levels. At 5'8, she brings ideal size for a guard in the 2027 class, allowing her to play both on and off the ball while matching up defensively across positions.   Evaluation: Simien's game is built on versatility and feel. She has the ability to handle the ball in space, initiate offense when needed, and also slide into a scoring role off the ball. Her length and frame give her an advantage, especially when attacking the lane or finishing through contact.   Offensively, she shows flashes of being a multi-level scorer. She's capable of putting the ball on the floor, getting downhill, and creating opportunities for herself, while also having the tools to develop into a consistent perimeter threat. Her ability to play both guard spots makes her valuable in different systems and lineups.   Defensively, Simien's size and athletic profile stand out. She has the potential to guard multiple positions, contest shots, and disrupt passing lanes. When engaged, she can be a difference-maker on that end.     [player_tooltip player_id='947908' first='Caroline' last='Watson'] is a proven scoring guard with major production attached to her name. The Episcopal junior was honored for reaching 1,000 career points, and she helped lead the Knights to a playoff win over Fisher while being part of a strong winter season for Episcopal.   Watson was also recognized as a District 6-2A First Team selection, showing her impact was respected across district competition. She later appeared on the LSWA Class 2A All-State list after averaging 28.0 points per game as a senior.   Evaluation: Watson is a high-production combo guard who can score the ball at an elite level. At 5'7, she brings confidence, shot-making ability, and the mentality of a go-to scorer. Her 1,000-point milestone shows consistency, while her 28.0 PPG average shows she can carry a heavy offensive load.   She has the skill set to play both guard spots, create offense, attack the basket, and make defenses respect her scoring from multiple areas. Watson's ability to produce night after night makes her one of the more dangerous guards in Class 2A. At 5'6, she plays with a composed pace and shows the ability to control tempo, organize the offense, and keep her team structured throughout the game.   Evaluation: Primeaux's game starts with her IQ. She's a pass-first guard who understands spacing, timing, and how to get teammates involved. She handles the ball well under pressure and shows the
